I took the rear sight off of the original mount. It's basically a dovetail mount stacked on to another dovetail mount. It needs the extra height to clear the drum. Also removed the front sight and made a collar to fit instead.
will cheap ammo work in that? I like to buy my 22 rounds by the bag.

@cabo02 I use Federal 550 round bulk packs. They seem to be the most consistent for the price. The Winchester and Remington stuff jams a lot.
