On this game, is it possible just to fly around not flighting, racing, ect...? Just where you fly from airport to airport like a flight simulator game?
@TETOMANLOL yeah, there is, but you gotta unlock the scenario, go to challenge, scenario and put no enemies, even though i prefer flyin in arena (u bet a huuuge map and theres an aircraft carrier, enemies just flying around (u can engage em), ships and you can increase your stats and earn points to increase your rank (you can also shot down bosses and big bosses wich unlocks aircaft)

@gokuman63 its not the most realistic in the world (lock on:MAC for example is more realistic but its for pc) but it definately is for the consoles to date
@Arkanii1 if the master alarm is going off but the hud has not changed colors the lock is on infared so use flares, if the alarm goes off and the hud is red its a radar lock so your fucked lol
this game is by far the best flight game to xbox it still beats all the new ace combat and hawx 2 in my oppinion its because of the reality of it.
Anyway im in are 8 on the last mission and i have been stuck there for 3 years now lol do anyone remember what plane they used to complete that mission cause i cant evade from the incoming missiles no matter what and i really whant to earn my new f 22 lol hope someone will answer:)
the thing is you need long range missles so i used the 1st plane u get in the 1st mission.
then when the mission starts kill the first planes that attack, then make a loop and fly at the opposite dyrection, use afterburner to gain as much speed and hight then lock onto the target plane and schoot is down with the long range missles. i hope this will help. good luck!

I got this game after AC6 because the MP experience has gone to shit. Plus, the realistic simulation is a healthy challenge once you completed AC6 on Ace diff.

The graphics are decent yes, online is fun if you know what you're doing, the game is very realistic when it comes to aircraft, you have fuel, and the majority of the planes only carry 8 missles, some carry 12 some carry over 20 like the f-22, note that the missles can be hard to dodge, but if you're using a sukhoi, you can dodge them with ease.
they hdould make a second version of this gaem and when u hit a plane the plane doesnt blow up expect his wing and he crashes taht way it look more realistic

let me tell you from my point of view. the game is super incredible. its the most simulated modern air combat game in xbox360. (only). im hoping for ps3 to release an AWSOME flight game (modern). the only thing is remember to CHAFF/FLARE and bank hard (left or right) once the missle has gotten close enough in your radar (blinking little dot i think). if you like sim, this is the game. 360 only tho! like $17used
Excuse my language, but I fucking hate how this game is basically shat upon by everyone. I love this game, it's one of the best SIM, yes, SIM games I've ever played. The only bad thing about it is, and I "can't believe the developers didn't thing about this" (/sarcasm), is that the default flight controls are set to arcade. Over G fighters is pretty realistic, and it can kill the fun. Also I think part of their weight model is unrealistic. Planes seem too heavy, unrealistically heavy.
lol, from what i can see, the turn rate in this game seems to be really really high and aircraft seems to respond far too lightly. A Jet fighter weighs several tonnes...
i have never even heard of this...would anyone consider this as better than Acecombat? I know graphics wise it clearly isn't, but as far as gameplay, what would anyone recommend?? Absolutely! IF you are 'into' sims than AC6 is NOT an option but you have to go for OGF (360-wise) ... If you want a fun game as well, AC6 has probably the 'better' game and sure is mighty impressive in the gfx/action/presentation department.
ogf...is the one..(trust me) the thing about ace 6 is that it doesnt give you that sim. feeling. it always reminds you that your still sitting on your couch or bed etc.

well Over-G is a simulator, so its like real life. And im pretty sure missiles are hard to evade.

they dint give too much in ideas for online gaming in ogf...this game diserved alot more. . they should have added air refueling and alot more...well, i do go online, you just have to find the friends...if you still play it let me know i have like 30+ friends that can help you rank up...

let me tell you from my point of view. the game is super incredible. its the most simulated modern air combat game in xbox360. (only). im hoping for ps3 to release an AWSOME flight game (modern). the only thing is remember to CHAFF/FLARE and bank hard (left or right) once the missle has gotten close enough in your radar (blinking little dot i think). if you like sim, this is the game. 360 only tho! like $17used

Excuse my language, but I fucking hate how this game is basically shat upon by everyone. I love this game, it's one of the best SIM, yes, SIM games I've ever played. The only bad thing about it is, and I "can't believe the developers didn't thing about this" (/sarcasm), is that the default flight controls are set to arcade. SET THEM TO EXPERT/SIM, or are people to thick to actually explore a game that much?

Over G fighters is pretty realistic, and it can kill the fun. Also I think part of their weight model is unrealistic. Planes seem too heavy, unrealistically heavy.

lol, from what i can see, the turn rate in this game seems to be really really high and aircraft seems to respond far too lightly. A Jet fighter weighs several tonnes...

i have never even heard of this...would anyone consider this as better than Acecombat? I know graphics wise it clearly isn't, but as far as gameplay, what would anyone recommend?? Im a flight enthusiast and I like the most true to life fighter simulators. I haven't as of yet purchased the new Acec0mbat (which I shall do shortly), but is this something to consider??

Absolutely! IF you are 'into' sims than AC6 is NOT an option but you have to go for OGF (360-wise) ... If you want a fun game as well, AC6 has probably the 'better' game and sure is mighty impressive in the gfx/action/presentation department.

ogf...is the one..(trust me) the thing about ace 6 is that it doesnt give you that sim. feeling. it always reminds you that your still sitting on your couch or bed etc.

Hey man if your looking for a greater degree of flying this is the game . The storyline is cheesy but the flight sim and dogfighting is done very well.
