Very nice :) It's also nice that you went for a mixed coach formation at 2:20; it was a very nice touch since Engines didn't always pull matching coaches in real life :)
What do you make of the upcoming MSTS 2. One last thing is, which one is better Trainz 2004 or 2006, specaifiaclly froma UK view, only reason I ask is 04 has a UK picture on it as opposed to 06, indicating (to me) that 04 focuses more on the UK than the other. Normally I would guess 06, but as I say the pic on 04 confuese it for me.
Ignor the pics! 2006 has more UK layouts the 04. 06 includes this layout, Hawes to Garnsdale, whereas 04 doesn't (i think). apparently 04 has less bugs but i've never had any problems (apart from with betas but thats expected!) Trainz Classics is also out which is the newest, havnt seen much about but presume its good. Havent seen much about MSTS2 either
From a UK viewpoint, which Trainz game is the best to have, as I here that some have a relatively small section of UK routes compared to other railway sims. Also I here that when a train crashes it just stays on the track and can't get it removed, is their a fix for this?
I have Trainz06 and am happy with that. regarding other software MSTS is abit dated now and while BVE4 is good as far as realism i have heard comments about a lack of Content and In driver mode you can't leave the cab. So my favorite would be Trainz. As far as derailments, in Trainz locos will just stay there and you will have to restart driver mode to get so its a good idea to save as you go along. Trainz also has pleanty of content and routes available for free!
There is a "rule" you can download which deletes a derailed train after a specified period of time. I think there's also one which will make the train spawn out of a portal if the route has such a thing.
Well the one that deletes the train is called "Derailed Vehicle Eraser", it also "sacks" the driver of the train, so you'd have to ensure there are extra drivers and rolling stock available.
The other thing is called "Re-rail Portal" and it seems it's actually a portal in it's own right - I suppose you could hide it in a maintenance yard or something.
I don't know the KUIDs of these, but of you search for those titles it will find them.
Just drive up to coach and couples automaticly (easy!) the more modern models have interiors, and more and more created each month! cant help with vista, but suppose it does!

oh portals ... spent whole weekend trying to understand them and still cant 0.0
but that script sounds useful for derailed trains

Thankyou for the info, forgot to ask what happens with regards to coupling if you are in operative mode, i.e the computer is doing the train driving.
js2001b1 4 years ago
you have to select the wagon you want to couple via a menu then loco will couple it automaticly
01276 4 years ago
im guessing you can, but could you confirm if this game works on Vista aswell as XP?
js2001b1 4 years ago
How do you couple the coaches to the trains on this game, is it easy to do? can you get interior views on this game also?
