er...nobody notices all the ships are at wrong scale? Man this is just a X wing vs Tie fighter but with capital ships (not realistic) and a poor ui. Enhance the Xwing alliance with a 2012 engine and you will have a real sw space simulator.

@Essefen The freelancer game engine does have a First person view. As to whether this mod is using the regular cockpit interiors from the original game, or if they have made their own? That is a different story. Though with the amount of work that has been put into ToW I would suspect they have.

I'm not gigantic fan of Star Wars but this looks sweet Freelancer mod. Someone should create a game where you are free to explore galaxy like in Freelancer and where you are also able to explore planets on foot and on ground vehicles.

big companies need to start looking at what people want from a game, not how much they will make from it, because otherwise they are gonna b out of a job pretty soon.

FL controls are very simple, i prefer Star Wars TIE Fighter, unfortunately it does not run on NT

Yes it does. Sort of. If you have the old DOS version you can run it perfectly under DosBox. For the upgraded win 98 one there´s a patch at lucafiles that fixes most issues. I´ve played it on Vista with 3D acceleration and everything.

Note that this is Freeworlds 2.0, a new version of the mod being developed. The current mod is indeed fun, but 2.0 will be much better. In the current build of Freeworlds, 18.45, there are many capital ships that can be flown. From the Blockade runner, to Nebulon B. Corellian Gunships, Carrack Cruisers and even ISDs. Not limited to these though, there are very many capital, as well as fighters currently flyable.
