I'm on my third tracker and all have been reliable boats. I purchased all of them new. I fish 50-75 days per year. My first two boats had fantastic resale value. I currently own a 2011 pro-team 190 with 90 hp 4-stroke. The motor is strong and quite. I considered (and could have) bought a glass boat but I'm happy I didn't. I don't want the worries of scratching my boat as most glass boat owners do. I go anywhere i want with no worries! I would advise replacing the troller with a 24V 82lb t
I wish Bass Pro Shops still offered the 190 Pro Team in the red color scheme. I think the 175 is the only one now that's available with the red and maybe the 165 is the only one available in blue.
Also....this bad boy is rated for 135 hp, so i wonder how it would behave with a 115 hung on the back?
It is one of the nicest if not THE nicest aluminum bass boats on the market.
They should offer it with a choice of Motor Guide AND Minn Kota as well as Lowrance AND Humminbird.
@MultiBaldEagle ya im glad my is red. and ive been on several alum. boats........ bass tracker is the best by FAR!! handles swells great , lots of space, good looking durable. only problem is the trolling motor is to small (46 lb thrust motor guide) the lake i fish is rough alot 4ft swells are very common. once i was fishing in 28 mph winds swells were so big the bow of the boat would take on about 2-3 inches of water over the front deck, not just spray litteraly water would cover the deck.
@giguchan ....the Bass Tracker is more than just a johnboat. Johnboats are flat bottomed, and the Tracker has a Mod V hull. Rides up on top of the water while still cutting some of the rougher chop. To get a johnboat to ride up on top like that, it'd be porpoising like crazy!
And most johnboats have a short transom whereas the Tracker has a 20 inch transom. Just a helpful suggestion.
I was able to chack out the site. The 115 is the max that BASS PRO sells the boat as a package. according to the specs the MAX is a 135... can you imagine that rig with a 135 on it?
Thanks for the suggestions.... I'm starting to get the itch again... been looking at a new Rod/Reel too...
@gogglesux I run a 09 Nitro Z-9 DC/250 Opti PRO XS and we have a 2010 190/115 Proxs. If you want these hulls to run you need TWO things #1 SS prop (Pitch, size rake depending on engine/setup) and IMHO the most important thing a Jack plate. with the 115 Pro XS we are getting 63MPH W/ half tank fuel and one person 58-59MPH with a full load. we run this boat in tourneys that are on lakes I dont want my Glass boat on. with that 90 a 6inch set back Jack plate and the right prop you will see low 50's
@ofnaman with a full load and two people, mid 50's with just you. I have helped a guy setup rigged with a 135 OPTI and the big difference is in torque from the 135 being a 2.5L V6 and the 115 being a 1.5L inline 3. Over all HP is about the same being the PRO XS pushes about 10-13% more power then the rating says but the 135 has gobs more torque, both boats setup they best they can be he is only about 2MPH faster with the 135 but his 0-30 times are 3 seconds faster in fact as fast as my glass is.
@ofnaman point being a well setup 90 will be about the same as a factory rigged 135 would be a 135 setup well will be about the same top speed as the 115 PRO XS setup well but will eat it alive out of the hole and to top speed, but the 115 is FAR FAR better on fuel being its Displacement is FAR smaller but that cost torque not overall output IMHO get this boat with a 90 or 115 PRO XS and buy you a 6IN set back Jack plate and a SS prop and they will run my boat likes engine set at 3/8in---

@ofnaman Cavplate over transome yours WILL be different no matter if everything is the same because each hull is slightly diff. if you need help and want it to run much better email me and I will get you setup prop and jack plate will run you new about 750-800 dollars but its FAR worth it. if you run a 115 and want a few more MPH then you need to plug the top two holes on the water pickup and run engine about 1/2 above pad if you dont plug holes water pressure will drop and problems happen quick
Hey, Thanks for allof the help in this matter.. I was checking out another boat locally it had a 90 on it.The Hull was pretty beat up. for the Kind of Fishing i do the Aluminim boat would due just fine. I have seen many Glass boats that close in price to a tracker. Money is not a real big concern... there are times when i think i'd like a glass boat and then there are times when i think i dont need one. I mean if i see a finbe glass boat thats rigged properly i would consider.
@ofnaman I mean you dont see too many trackers with the bigger motor on it. I guess i know why... if you can get almost the same performance out of the smaller engine i dont see a down side to it at all. cost, maybe better fuel economy, there are a load of variables... thanks for pointing them out to me.
@gogglesux yeah the hull will only allow so much power before the hull just cant run any faster because of lack of a ture running pad and overall hull lift/trim ability. however like I said with a well set jack plate and good prop you can get impressive speeds out of the 90 and the boat will handle FAR better and handle rough water so much better you wont believe its the same boat. if you fish tourneys and dont have a fast glass rig a jack plate and SS prop are your best friends.
@gogglesux you will notice the hull lifts and trims out like a smaller glass boat and feel like its running on a pad even tho its not but because it will lift out the water so much more it will feel that way. like I said if you ever want any help setting it up to get the most out of it email me and I will tell you the base line settings and what you need.. I can help you with a prop to just need gear load info and how many people you have in the boat most times. enjoy the boat and have a good 1
@giguchan and also due to it being light weight it drwas very little water as to were a fiberglass boat is heavier and draws more. also doesnt take a 250 hp to push it
@SPIDERWIRE13 ....what's your top end speed with that 90? I think that bad boy's rated at 130 or 135......wonder what it'd do with a 115 hung on the back?
@giguchan ya my is a 07 (I dont think the new ones come in red anymore) I got my for 11k and its been great havent had any trouble. these boats are great due to low cost easy to tow and they r very reliable with a Mercury which i think is the best outbord out there. also it handles very well better than any alum boat out there. and yes its very basic however its alot better than a jon boat.
@giguchan its great for an alum. boat very stable handles well in rough weather (about 3-4 ft Swells) like it alot but i would get the 190, nothing smaller if u can afford it if anything get the 175 but nothing smaller.

What's the top speed you're getting with your 90 on this boat? How many times have you blown your hat off? haha
I am seriously considering one of these . Just a few more mortgage payments to go and then.....

@MultiBaldEagle top speed is 45mph. and only blown my hat off once. haha
