I find it hard to express how poignant this video was- it brought tears to my eyes. It's a incredibly sad thing that you're representing, and you do it well. RIP to all those who've died for our freedom. And thank you.
i do not support war in any way, but this, the acting, diecting, just everything, got to me, thankyou for that wonderful video, it was a heart-felt messgae
And this was beyond beautiful. Thank you so much for this. My brother in law is in the army (american), he's been to Iraq and Afghanistan, and my uncle was in Vietnam and my grandpa in WW2. And having heard stories- I just want to thank you for this perfect video. Innocence indeed. We've already won.
@blackelsy I'm American, and I want to be in the Air Force one day. I say that all people are our people- I don't care whether you're Korean or Swedish or Chilean or Ugandan or Austrailian or whatever. You're my fellow human being. And I think that any force that's fighting for human rights- whether or not its their country- is fighting for their people. It's not different.
I thank all soldiers that went out to war for our freedom. I thank all soldiers that went out to war for our rights. We didn't ask them, but they did it anyway. The died for us. And for that, they deserve much more than anything else in this world. My heart goes out for them, and to their loved ones. I am forever in their debt, and I will always respect them.
I got this link from a D-Trix video expecting to see another funny guy with funny videos. I'm glad I clicked on it to see this deep and meaningful video. It honestly brought tears to my eyes. Good job, Justin Safaei. This is amazing.
Wow. This is simply powerful and incredibly well-done. I didn't even know about the Bytyqi brothers until this video; a part of history that doesn't seem to have garnered much attention. Maybe one day we can forgo our human frailties and inclination to violence and make Eve Merriam's wish come true. No more senseless deaths. No more hate.
This video made me cry...People are really turning into monsters. We don't need wars.We don't need fights. We need to be like brothers and sisters...Unfortunately ..we'll never be:///
@DREAMERzzzzzzz The violin in the background can be found here /watch?v=-EQ6eHeBrhM, then I assume he would have used mixcraft or a similar program to create a loop of the drum beat that can be heard throughout. Please note I am just assuming here, for all we no it may have been recorded by jsafaei. What ever he did it is really beautiful. This is my favorite video on YouTube at the moment.
The sad truth of reality. This stuff really does happen. It shows that you never know what your future holds. Also that people give there LIVES to protect yours so that fact that people even have the thought to dislike this video means their pathetic children who don't respect the life that is given to them. Just sayin
I'm shocked and sad at the same time. I hate war, I've always hated it. I never watch movies about war because it's pointless & they make me very upset and depressed.
Now this.. this almost made me cry & I never cry watching a movie or something...So sad....
Wow, this is absolutely beautiful. I love the whole set up and the comparison thingy you did. And the lines! I got goosebumps when they said "We're gonna win this" and "we've already won."
feels good to know that someone get interested by the story of theses american guys, but what about the hundreds of thousands of people from kosovo that died too?
It was good, however Fighiting for freedom ? especially American soldiers ? the only thing American soldiers fight for are US interests and the ZIonist Lobby. You're the main cause of oppression through out the world.
This is the most amazing thing i've seen on youtube! honestly. It's so poweful, really touches your heart. War is never the answer to any problem, just the route to more destruction. I'm 19, and all my life all I've heard of is murders and injustice. Who gives a fuck if your muslim, american, or jewish. No one deserves to die like this.
This is beautiful yo, and well done.
Just hope the middle east and America can put their difference aside.
@UltimatrixDan I've got a smile for you. Thanks for being kind. The video is a tough one to take in. Sadly there's too much pain in the world and too many willing to inflict it. We are all born the same way. We all want to live and love our loved ones and we all die. We are all just humans. We are all the same. May the inflicters have a heart.
Why would you ever wish that on anyone? Maybe they didn't like it because they have family who are soldiers, and it really hurt them.
Anyways, this was amazing. It really gets to you. It makes you think about the families that are broken apart, the thousands of people who lose their lives for this. War just isn't worth it.
Innocence endures in its purity. It is only covered up, buried under, with the potential for brutality and ugliness as found only in humanity's blind vengence towards humanity.
it beautiful but what bothers me is that people only cry because Amercan people die. They are in a place where it is war. There are much more people dying there.
This is that one movie we see on youtube these days.. Maybe once a year, That moves people so much we forget about those mainstream music videos, talent shows, reality shows etc. And just appreciate, that brothers hold each other in arms with blood spilt on foreign land to stand as guardian for their home country.
R.I.P. To all Soldiers - Killed and Thank You - To all the wounded by warfare.
I'd just like to say (after reading the comments): Every life is precious, a child in Iraq is as precious as a child in America or Europe, start making some sense please.
Oh my god. I cried. This was really inspirational. I can't say I'm a true American but this made me realize how important it was to appreciate our troops and how precious their lives are. Thank you for opening my eyes.
I started sobbing just after a minute, it's so hard to watch that, even if it is fiction and not burst into tears, I have so many friends and so much family that are in the military and everyday I worry that one of them might not make it home and seeing this makes me so scared, but reminds me of how innocent we are, and I wish we could all have a childs innocence, but we can't and watching those men die knowing that many have died that way it kills me and breaks my heart. My love to the military
@StrangeGirl484 i just read the book Lord of the Flies (great book btw) and it might show you the truth about childs innocence.. i dont want to spoil the book but everyone has innate evilness, but childs just appears to be more innocent than adults
@Melberrt I haven't read the book, although I plan to, I realise childern aren't that innocent but compared to the horrors men and women see over sea they are. When I was little my grandmother passed away I couldn't comprehend what that ment, childern are innocent, in ways, and nieve (I'm sure I spelled that wrong) In some ways this is good, but in others not so much. Atleast that is my Point of View
@StrangeGirl484 yea i agree with you, cuz most children arent expose to the real world and their parents shield them from the cruelty. btw what age do u consider to be a child ;)..
good to have a nice conversation on youtube without profanity or fighting over something...
@Melberrt That is true, personally I think maybe around the age 10-12 is when we start to lose our innocences, but as this world has gotten more.... perverse, so to speak, The age for alot of things has gotten younger. So perhaps children around 5-6 are losing their innocences because of such a cruel and crude world we live in. I don't know this is just my own personal opinion.
I agree, it's nice to have an intelligent conversation about something that truely matters and isn't irrevilant
You do not understand how hard it is to live in a war... The wars are now!! Some people are fighting every day for their freedom. People die for their country every day.
wow that was amazing. after watching it i just sat there crying. it was so moving and amazing, and the fact that you could get across so much emotion to the audience in under 4 minutes is just.. phenomenal.
@LanesMedia "fighting for "us" ?" May I be assuming you're American? In my opinion, the soldiers are fighting for their PEOPLE when and ONLY when their country is being invaded and they fight bravely to protect it. BUT when his country invade other country, I will say they are fighting for their GOVERNMENT.
@blackelsy These guys went over to Kosovo to join the KLA mate. They thought they were fighting for their freedoms and the freedoms of others. So, effectively, they were fighting for us.
but,if a soldier is told to go somewhere, that soldier has to go.because if they don't,they can be court martialed and/or imprisoned.
in the case of this video, what was done was wrong, because those were just soldiers, being where they were told.if the people that executed the soldiers had a problem they should have taken it up with the people that sent them there.
also,in America, the government is supposed to of the people,by the people, for the people, but some people forget that
Liked it. Makes me think about some of the criticisms of Dodgeball (not that I'm for or against it) and reminds me a little bit of an Audioslave video that seemed to have similar themes involving a kid playing with a paper airplane (can't remember the song, though). I thought that vicious-looking mom right after the goal was kicked was good. Some powerful war themes in there, too, and has a positive message.
Deeper than I thought it was going to be. At first it seemed like the parallels between the game and the war was going to be cliche, but you tied them together nicely by adding that simple dialogue. Great video!
I find it hard to express how poignant this video was- it brought tears to my eyes. It's a incredibly sad thing that you're representing, and you do it well. RIP to all those who've died for our freedom. And thank you.
