People have no idea what they're doing- what's happening to the Earth and ocean because they throw a plastic bag into the street. They figure that it'll go somewhere where they won't have to worry about it, but they're wrong! They throw it into the street, and eventually it ends up harming the environment and killing plants and animals.

@jerkoff71 It swallowed them by accident when eating schools of fish or krill. Whales don't see very well, and a floating plastic bag would look just like a jellyfish. It could also have been in a section of ocean where currents (gyres) concentrate plastic garbage.

how would they do that? shoot it? where exactly? i don't think they could make it quick and clean. 20 shots with a shotgun would still be horrific and probably still not kill it instantly.

Just sad. I think i'll go with paper bags from now on..

Just this afternoon I found a blue plastic shopping bag in my front garden under a bottle brush tree birds frequent. I also found a plastic freezer bag in my back yard near where I feed the native parrots and galahs.

It's the day rubbish is collected in my neighbourhood and I guess not all the plastic bags make it into the garbage truck.
