  • becouse i do not know anything about moose hunting or hunting at all...what do u take from a moose after killing it ?

  • I am amazed at how many page views you get by now.

  • Its not me they wish to see its the adventures outdoors and the Moose are always magnificent to see so I think many people wish to view the majestic Moose.

  • i am interested in the different parts of the world, animals and people.

i do want to see you.

  • My girfriend and I were lucky enough to draw a moose tag this year. It will nice to go after a big bull instead of immatures, that's the only open season we have here.

  • Hey, I know what you mean. We used to go for the immatures when we didn't get any draws.

Then we started going further north, where bulls are open when we received no draws.

    Luckily, we often are drawn.

I was drawn for a Bull Moose this year, I've been pretty lucky with the draws in all!

Congrats on your draw, I wish I had a girlfriend who was into the outdoors and would go hunting, your lucky with more than just the draw there!

Good luck, and hope I get to see some vid or pics of success!

  • hey dude i was wondering were do u thing is the best place to hunt moose...

  • It seems to me that the more north you go the better it gets...the price can get yah though...fuel alone to travel far is costly.

  • Cool video, those are a couple of nice bulls.

  • Hey, cool...glad you enjoyed it. We were very happy with the two Bulls we got! Thanks!

  • I was looking for your car vid. what is the title?

moose are animals of bygone days here. 0:40 is an auerhahn, we called it. scarce.

  • That red truck at the end of this is the Toyota 4Runner. I told you in another comment that you would have to come over...ha ha ha because I don't have that 161 kmh vid up on here. You can see the truck in some of my vids though...but on toyota is like another.

Though not to often do you see them with wildlife and stickers on theirs.

We have Moose growing in numbers every year and spreading into new areas all the time.

The bird that you call auerhahn is called a Willow or Ruffed Grouse here.

  • Such a toyota they sell here but a small version.

  • Yes, it only has two doors, we have them here

  • and then there is a rav they sell here.

  • Is your car a diesel?

  • nope, gas

seat, design Alfa and engine vw.

  • Hmmmm, I'm curious to what it looks like.

    Convertable or hardtop?

    Two seater or four?

engine in back or mid or front?

    Colour?

  • i will find a link at yt. just a moment!

  • okay

  • watch?v=qba9qnuTQFg

    mine is siver color.

  • Sweet lil ride, and fast too. Your a lucky girl!

Silver, thats the colour of my Ford F250 4x4.

  • that thing is fast, 5 doors, three doogs in the back, 2 in the trunk, one in front. airconditioning a must for the dogs, a fancy radio with 6 speakers and mp3 and it is economical. i am happy.

  • Very Sweet.

And from what I can tell, you deserve an abundance of happiness, so I'm happy for you.

  • i am almost always happy. and you?

  • I sure try, I've had to make a few more batches of lemonade than the average joe I think, but many have had it much worse than me. Just the fact that I have all my fingers and toes makes me lucky by some peoples standards.

I pretty much only focus on the good, and I love the beauty of it all.

    Life is a beautiful thing.

  • you are a poet and don`t know it.

  • Its easy when your faced with such beauty

  • nice compliment.

  • Now that looked like a tough recovery.

  • Yah, I had to walk for about an hour, to get borrow a quad and then ride back to camp to get a row skiff and then make a wooden drag trailer to tow the boat with the quad down the trail for over an hour to the back of the lake and then row down the lake to the other end and then get the moose and row it back down the lake to get it out and go back to camp...the shot was at a lil after 9am and we got into camp after dark that night.

But well worth it and an awesome memory and beautiful Moose!

  • Looks like a blast of a lifetime!!--*****

  • You gotta try it some time if you haven't already...beauty country and all kinds of wildlife to add to the scenery. I love Moose Hunting. Didn't go this year, you can only go on so many trips.

  • It is a matrix background song, and thanx!

  • Nice!

    ps: what song is that?

  • nice animals there. how'd you kill a moose with a 7MM Mag?

  • I did'nt, my cuz did, and he had harvested Moose and Elk with that 7mm Mag. Thanks..we really liked the elk spear like tines on the Rack.

  • nice job

    great vids

  • Hey thanks, kuel you think so.

I love that if I am around in the old age days...that I'll have this library of some life memories to look at!

  • Jeezuz, what a labour! You should choose your shooting place: near a butcher is always good.. ;-)

Gongratulations to these monsters and thanks for the story.

  • Thanks and Yah, when huntin is not good for a while, then we all want an easy one...but for quite several years it has been very good, so I don't really want the easy ones...the good times are over to fast with the ones that jump in your truck..ha ha lol.

  • us natives dont need licenses...

  • Oh how I sometimes wish I had a Status Card.

  • . Moose live in swamps. They may smell bad because of it but the meat is always fine. IT only goes bad if you fill him with holes. intimber is obviously the novice and from what i can gather not to great of a shot either. On a final note If you are afraid of a little work when you hunt you should save your money on licenses and leave hunting to us. Great job avidhunter. Nice bulls, good buddies good times and lots of work.... That looks like one hell of a hunt.

  • Totally...it was great! Lets face it compared to some of the chores some of us do...Swamp Donkey hunting is pretty easy work. I'm kiddin a bit...I know first had how hard we work...but compared to Mountain Goat...its a dream relaxing vacation!

I'll have to put up a pic or more of the Bull my Uncle harvested this year...his best, with 5 tine brow palms on both sides!

Thanks for the great comment and hope your year becomes some great times too!

  • obviously a novice hunter, you dont shoot moose in water..im hesitant if they are near it. not only is it a pain in the royal fucking ass to get it out of the water unless you have the manpower or a winch, but its bad for the meat

  • Kule you watched but in our group we have the best moose hunters around. And he ran from the timber at us down into a lil lobe on the edge of the lake after his cow turned and started our way after a lil call.

    .

As for the meat...sorry thats nonsense...unless your a terrible shot! The Moose live in water and it has never wrecked their meat! The Meat is sealed except for your shots and you don't shoot them in the meat...do you?

  • listen, i wasnt cutting you guys down! you got the moose right? just trying to help. I understand, Ive had caribou i had to shoot near the beach on lake iniakuk up in brooks range... and actually, the water can ruin the meat if you end up not being able to get the moose out before you start quartering him/her. not through the bullet wound duh. but thats a small moose, 47''? Where I hunt the minimum is 50'' or 4 brow tines on each side, spike fork. but last season i took a cow! just for meat :)

  • Put some vids up. I would love to se them. Kule your outdoors all your life. But be careful how you write your sentences as a loaded gun! Ultimatuming insults is not a good way to go (either I'm and idiot or desperate for meat) Your wrong in both accounts!!!

I love hunting and packing and all that goes with the pursuit. I don't make the greatest truck hunter I guess!

    continued...

  • Yes it can be a pain in the butt, but I live for a lil work and thats all part of the enjoyment. We could shoot steak at the store if we wanted to miss out on everything!

....Thanks for your opinion...to each their own. I like an easy one every once and a while too!

  • ha, you and i both know its not easy packing out moose come on now! i was only trying to help. shot my first moose when i was twelve, and my father has been a bush pilot for thirty five years up here. your either an idiot or desperate for meat shooting a moose in a swamp land! props for getting him out. lucky he wasnt a big guy! congrats on your kills though!

  • They are quite big in the body actually, the racks don't grow real wide cause they live in thick timber most of the year (species adaptation). He was 717 lbs. at the butcher. But yah I knew an old timer retired conservation officer from up there and he told me plenty of stories of how huge they can get in the open country. And I have friend with 60 and 70 inch racks. My cuz got one that was 51.

  • I have done some hard jobs and this moose packin is pretty easy compared. It is still hard...Mountain Goat is way harder.

Arthritis now...start'n to take it easy.

If you have pics of you guys way back when hunting up there then do us all a favour and gettem uploaded...that would be awesome. I'd really like to see your dad or grampa...I wish I had that!

  • thats wat u call wet moose ah ah

  • The rack was so heavy the moose sank, I had to lift the rack up and then the whole Moose rose and floated at the surface of the Lake. Then I rowed it down the lake! Thanx for watchin!

  • Still a great video...Congrats....

    Great music!!!!

    Many TNX
