slapshot - haha garageband loops are royalty free and belong 100% to whoever creates whatever with them! all the loops were tweaked to fit, and most of them are samples anyway. The bass line i created from scratch, using bass samples, and the guitar is 100% me! i'll break the pentatonic spell when it fits the song! haha now you go on ahead and post something! It's always easier to be a critic, isn't it? sitting in your little chair at your computer, snickering, eating cheetos

At my school we have a music tech class where we use midi abd live audio recording and shit like that. Does your school have somthing liek that. I know in my class I can record a bass line, a guitar part then record drums live and mix it to gether to make one track using 3 seoarate tracks. Then I can go back in and add sounds from a synth. we use digital performer but there are less expensive programs like garge band and fuity loops

marlburgler - i have no idea what the UofI school of music uses - I am not enrolled in any sort of music education. however what you speak of is fairly common and standard among recording applications, so i would assume they allow you to do the same thing :) check the website!
