  • I swear he says "... and lets get start."

  • no he DOES say started.. but the last ed is not very audible, but i can hear it..

  • Chuck Noris can do major 5th bends

  • I've got to get out my theory book and check out what a major fifth is.

  • Dude, what makes you think the theory book will know? It's Chuck Norris.

  • I meant that a fifth is a (perfect) fifth. It's not major or minor; it's diminished or augmented. Nothing against my man Chuck.

  • I think that was the joke is what I mean :P Chuck Norris is so good he can even play a major fifth.

  • i can do a minor octave bend.

    /pwned LOL

  • lol if u can do a minor octave bend i want to know ur string guage hahaha plz tell me :D

  • c'mon don't take it seriously. lol

  • @tedhellcaster Too bad minor octaves don't exist lol

  • @fishqwer: I was sarcastic, 1 year ago. LOL

  • @fishqwer what's it called in english? major septima? sept-something right?

    dunno, I'm swedish:P

  • @Pelleman666 I think it's just called a major seven in english, but us swedes are stupid enough to call it septima, lol! Sept means seven in french, so I guess it has something to do with that : )

  • this guy changes his hair alot

  • very nice video lessons of bend , very instructive

    squale

  • Peter thank you for all of the helpful videos ... they are always appreciated here ...

  • every vid is improoving my guitar playing dramatically , its giving me more variety

thanks to all people who make these videos happen

and the guitar teachers make it easy to understand! respect

  • This is all good, but what you really needed to provide was a strong example of how the bend can be used in various riffs and licks.

  • I know chances are you probably won't care for Megadeth, but if you check out the album Rust In Peace, their lead guitarist for the album (the one who done the more interesting, exotic solos, not the pentatonic stuff that Mustaine plays) plays some really nice stuff. A few of his solos have minor third bends. Primarily I can think of the first distorted solo in the song "Holy Wars... The Punishment Due", and in the Tornado Of Souls solo (during the third time the riff under the solo repeats).

  • Thanks for the reply:

I understand the usage, but I thought it might help it there were some strong examples to show a "newbie" how they would use the bend...as in bending up to the Dominant 7th tone in a blues expression...Here, you newbies, try this:

You are in "A" Blues - go to the 12th fret (E) on the high E String and bend it up to a "G" note (7th)..Ahhh...now you see! Do it a few more times just because it feels good! - Terrific statement with tension. ♪♫♪
