In America, without Constitutional Check's & Balance (between Executive, Legislative & Judicial Branches), One would Usurp the other's & the result would be 'Dictatorship; as Obama is doing'. As far as' Private Sector, we' Compete without the Monopoly power of Limited Govt. (by surrendering the power of "force" to Govt. alone). Big Unions, Regulatory Agency's & PAC's have usurped much power there unfortunately. I see & agree w most of what you say'.
What's a check or balance to private property? To individual rights? To limited government? The rule of law? free trade (i.e. without force)?
You cannot have checks & balances against a concept like capitalism. Only towards individuals or institutions acting in a position of power in a specific case does this make any sense.
