The Amero won't happen.
The people will have to vote on it like
they did in each of the European countries with the introduction to the Euro (the UK voted not to have it).
Too much opposition to a currency attached to the US dollar. Also, the US will not want to let go of control of its currency, which they would have to do if the Amero came into being. They couldn't PRINT anymore money without the endorsement of the other NA countries.

Your wrong as the Amero will "help" America brin us out of debt considerin that all of the debt America owes is in the dollar. So in convertin the US wouldnt have to pay as much debt... But on the other hand it will most likely turn America into a third world country with Canada and Mexico. And America will most likely loose their freedom that they are so used to because the government will become more like Russia's government.
But in the end the people wont have a say in it only the government.

in reality, the US currency has gotten stronger Since that Trillion dollars got pumped into circulation. OF course about a week after it took .56 Euros to Equal 1 dollar. So the Euro was almost twice as valuable. As of November 30, it takes .79 Euros to equal one dollar so the dollar is getting some strength back.

Economically... China becomes the world's largest economy, yet the US retains the #2 spot with still a higher GDP per capita than China or the EU. Likewise, the US Dollar remians as the world's reserve currency.
Militarily, the US retains supremacy in defense although China and the EU will challenge.
India, Brazil, Russia, and Mexico as a part of the BRIMC become world players.
North America integrates into a union.

Well, things are sure heading the way you said.
China could climb to the number one spot but I wonder if new civic rights creating higher way of life could maintain them to a moderate top 3 spot.
If a new source of energy is found in the next years, this chart could also easily change. Oil superpowers like S. Arabia, Russia, Venezuela, Koweit and so on would lose a few spot.
Finally unless Russia changes there will be more crisis in the unstable Baltic region.

There are the oil sands in Alberta, and likewise, the oil shale reserves in the Colorado Rockies.
Some estimates ahow that the oil shale reserves in the U.S. could amount to 110 years of powering the U.S. economy. That's over a trillion barrels of proven oil shale and 6 times the proven reserves of what Saudi Arabia has.
I say we drill in the US and then withhold our oil from the rest of the world.
