Dreamer, one of my favorite Tommy Bolin Songs of Teaser-have it on cassette(not a good format),but don't need to listen it on cassette. Thanks for posting it on youtube.
The first time I saw Tommy it was on a Rock and Roll Anthology, I was impressed by his beauty and natural sensuality, it's sad he left so young, but the fact is that he became inmortal with his music. I'm a new fan! Love You Tommy!
This song makes me cry and reminds me of the friend that that turned me on to Tommy. My friend died in a car wreck in 1984. I think of my friend and Tommy. This song is sad, happy and like no other i have ever heard. No mtv bullshit here...Fucking pure ROCK!!!!!!!!!!
This is great. A friend of mine that also was in the army turned us on to TB. We used to listen to this at University of Wisconsin Superior 1975 -1977 at Curran, McNeal ,Ostrander ( CMO) Dorm on his BOSE 901 with a Marantz 2525 receiver. His name was Chief and I was a legend at UWS the Dobbie King also known as Steve M.
My dad turned me onto him when I was young and he still remains my favorite artist ever. I can really relate to his music and I am a colorado native. I just wish I had had the chance to see him perform live.
i first heard these great songs in the army.a great friend from south dakota turned me on to this....dennis r. i miss hanging out getting trashed and jammin on the bose 901s.......moe
Thanks for postin this LP. I moved recently and haven't set up my sterio yet. I was hopein someone had posted a few songs off of "Teaser". You saved me!
The whips and roses 1 version of 'wild dogs' was better to me. More powerful drum and vocal tracks, and a great Jam at the end. I think Teaser had the best version of 'Lotus' though. He was under water in whips and roses. The Bolin book is amazing. Any fan of Tommy's needs that book. Great read.
Thank you - after prolonged disappearance of all my good old Lp´s is this video solid comfort. Especially "Lotus" is one of the best songs Tommy ever wrote.
I'm guessing that most if not all responders are from Denver, CO. from during the 70's as I am myself. Tommy KICKED (Ass,Butt ect.)insert hyperbole. The guy was THAT GOOD!!!(He was PHENOMENAL.) Too many Qualudes and booze, we all did them, some survived, some didn't. God Bless Tommy Bolin.
When people ask me who Tommy Bolin is I just tell them that he's best known for being the guitarist in Deep Purple when Ritchie Blackmore left to form Rainbow.I also tell them that he some solo albums also.
As great as this version from the Teaser album is, the demo version he did (in 1974, I believe) is far superior. You have got to hear it to believe it. Bolin's vocals and his outro guitar solo are just so emotional and unbeatable. If you love Tommy Bolin's music go hear the demo from 1974. No comparison.
I will always love this music. Some of these songs I find it hard to listen to, for instance "Wild Dogs" and "Dreamer" because they just break my heart. Some of the most soulful music ever. I know that Bolin fans tend be almost fanatical in their admiration for Tommy Bolin but with tunes like that it's like a gift from higher powers above. Beautiful music.

Oh man! I haven't heard these for years! Thanks for the post - Great memories.
I only saw Tommy once at Glasgow Apollo in 1976 with a tired and jaded Deep Purple.

The TEASER album from 75 is a all time classic.BOLIN is the greatest !

Best known for the his stint with Deep Purple....are you kidding me? His solo music eclipsed Deep Purple in my opinion.

All these years later his music still moves me the way it did then. He was such a giant musically. RIP Tommy, I still miss you.

This song is my riposte to people who say that the '70s were a musical wasteland. A
LOT of great music was being made then
(Sabbath,Purple,BOC,UFO,Thin Lizzy)but this
one never fails to make them up and say,"WHOA! How come I never heard of this
guy?" Just gives me goosebumps...
