@carloss1960 you use lighting for marco because it will realy bring the picture come to life (i dont know exact reason why but it just does) and usualy you can simulate dew which is a awesome macro technique
Thats not the real version of Darude - Sandstorm and you really should get a proper macro lens and shoot a little bit closer. I really recommend the EF 100mm F2.8 Macro USM ;)

Ive never understood that. It might sound boring with no music, but we'd rather hear what youre saying, not trying to do both. My advice.

I wouldn't say its not user friendly, I figured out all the menus and buttons before I could press the 'start' button on my stop watch :) And it's not really that heavy, you really get used to it.
Good video Jake,your music Sandstorm by Darude yes I recognised it without looking not bad for an old boy of 60 from the UK LOL, can I make a suggestion that you do include it for say for the 1st 30-40 seconds and then fade it and then bring it back in for the last 20 seconds or so for the finish of the video was having a job to hear what you were saying

The other guys have a point here, most lenses that offer "macro mode" only get to 1:4 or worse. That is a magnification of..25% erm okay!
There are some 1:1 macro lenses out there that can do the wonder. Still "macro" or close by is pretty nice even if done with a non macro lens
