When I faced the Boost Guardian he sort of randomly died - he had 1/6 of his health left, went out of his puddle and died. I wasn't even firing at him.
The Boost Guardian is really damn hard, died first time i tryed. First boss to beat me in Echoes. Also, a staff member at Nintendo actually admits that he could not defeat Boost Guardian without entering Debug Mode!
That so called staff member is a damn liar. If he was part of the game maker staff he shouldnt be using a debug mode to deal with Boost Guardian. Boost Guardian isnt that hard and a staff member that cant even beat it is a damn moron.
i fucking hate this boss. he's shit. i dye on him almost everytime, even on easy mode. i dont know how the hell i ever got past him, and now my good account is stuck in the dark hydronamo station >.<
Hey man, I was having trouble with this boss so I watched your videos to get a couple of extra energy tanks. They we're very helpful 'cuz I've finally beaten him!
The way I see it is that this dude is impossible. Apparently after 5 or 6 tries, he just gets easier to kill because I didn't really change my method, but he finally just seemed to loose more life by the same means I had used previously. I think after 5 or 6 goes at it, the game is triggered into loser mode and that is how I finally succeeded, lol.
lol i wonder why ppl dont put this boss in their "omg top 10 hardest boss list"
this guy kept being awful, when i first played this game, but on hard mode it just got incredibly awful (while i pwned all the other big bosses veeery easily)
btw there is a way from stopping him boost, you gotta lay some morph ball bombs into his path (best before he goes off)
@Quadraxis14 i totally agree with you god this boss was just a freaking annoying little prick, however the spider guardian is also annoying and up there with the boost guardian, god freaking boost ball ARRGH!!!! on hard he is basically a freaking little hybrid between a tick and a mosqouito!!!! constantly chasing and feasting on your blood healthity health health o wait its GONE! :(
i JUST about beat him on my first try. i think alpha blogg was harder because sometimes he charges with his mouth closed AND it requires impeccable timing
Omg,i beat him on my first try today(Veteran),this guy is actually easy,he just confuses you.
You just need Light Ammo,85 will do.First you just scan him(while dodging),then you use the Light beam and charge(does lots of damage). When he goes into jello pudding form(without using boost ball)just wait.
Now the part where everyone gets confused:
When he uses boost ball,DON'T DODGE,you have to ATTACK him, because if you dodge, you take to many hits and you'll die.
Something you should know is that the boost guardian was actually made easier for the wii, I assume it's because Retro realised "SHIT! You set the damage to WHAT?!"
@MrKratos50001 Oh yeah and you have to attack him with Bombs(in his Boost Ball),otherwise it will have no effect.Just to avoid confusion to how you attack him in that form.
Agggh! I'm currently going through Hard Mode the first time (What can I say, you inspired me), and I, too, encountered my first death against the Boost Butt. I mean Boss. Anyway.
I've tried 5 times so far. Hopefully, inspecting your tactics will help.
Hmm. I only have 4 energy tanks. That could be problematic.
Spider Guardian? The morph ball bomb puzzle dude? I've died to him once, in a stupid way no less. There's no way in hell he's harder than the Boost Guardian, lol.
To do MORE DAMAGE onto the 'Boost Guardian,' use 'Super Missiles,' because 'Light Beam' charge does only half of 'S M'. 'S M' is far more EFFECTIVE WEAPON against the 'B G', believe it.
...No it's not. Compare the times between charging the super missile and charging the light beam. Light beam is faster, and though weaker, does more damage in a shorter amount of time.
I've got "The Offical Guide From Nintendo Power: Metriod Prime 2: Echoes". it says { Super Missiles are far more effective to kill the Boost Guardian, than the Light Beam } That came stright from Nintendo Power them selves. One thing you shuld know is when 'B G' is in 'pool form' it's a-lot weaker, that the 'S M' does twice the damage to the' B G' when it's in 'p f' then the 'L B'. I've read the 'Guide' & it works a hell a-lot more better when you use the 'S M' onto the 'B G', believe it.
As to your comment #4... I don't want you to like me.
Quady is doing it wrong because he's not playing the game the way the guide says he should. He should get props for not using a full walkthrough at all. If you don't like how he plays the game either don't watch, make your own LP, or let the man play it the way he wants to.
He's not being any less of an asshole than you are being a smartass. You aren't being forced to comment, nor do you need to on the proper way to kill a boss that was told to you by a book written by guys that you don't even know to be trustworthy. Hell, I already killed it.
As for your list of replies to him, he doesn't want to develop communication with you, quite the opposite. Next, today's society is worse than him truthfully, and if he wants you to be quiet, he can say so, free speech.
Did I tell him to do this or to do that? No, not at all, I'm state-ing the general knowladge of the general truth, that's all.
If he wants me to be quite, then he shuld say { Dude please be quite please } or { Dude quite please } that to me because I don't mind it at all, but when someone/anyone says { Shut the hell up } that kind of attitude to me is unacceptable.
It's the way I was brought from my dear mother & father of not to say any bad words at all, because it's bad karma to do so.
...Oh, it's in the guide so it must be true! It may just be me but I'm pretty sure you can't damage it in "Pool form" I tried numerous times and it never worked, so either I'm the worst shot ever (I consider myself alright at aiming, at point blank no less.) or it doesn't work, only power bombs will damage it. I don't care what your strategy guide says, light beam works better for speed and accumulative damage. Now I'll refer you to Jason's very quick and to the point comment.
You keep on saying { Power Bombs }, 'power bombs' you only can get at 'Dark Torvus Bog', when you kill the 'Power Bomb Guardian' only when you have the 'Spider Ball' upgrade, 'S B' upgrade can only be get at 'Sancturay Fortress' when you killed the 'Spider Guradian'. The only way to hurt the 'B G' 'p f' is when the 'p f' is in black color not dark red color, 'S M' works on the 'B G', beileve me.
I don't question the 'guide' that came from the 'creators' of the 'game' at all, not even once!
You can damage it in it's pool form. And you're right with it being best to use the Light Beam. You can actually kill it before it does the stupid ball form. (Of course you DO need to be a good shot to do it)
Just thought I'd check out this LP, and how you differ from Nack and I. (Also I'm doing the entire Trilogy starting Monday >_>)
Never saw the point of getting the Trilogy myself (Just as a personal thing, if someone doesn't own any of the games it's a good deal) But I have all three games and the Wii aiming doesn't appeal to me (Turning around is a pain in the ass sometimes as I found from MP3) overall, if I own all three games and prefer the gamecube controller anyways, there isn't much of a point to it. I actually feel like I'd prefer to have the GC version of Twilight Princess over the Wii version for the same reason.
I like it, it's a nice collection in a nice tin. and The first two Primes are a little more fun with the new controls. (The Wii aiming is great, you could always change the sensitivity you know). And I actually found myself beating the games FASTER in the Wii version than the originals. (Since the new controls do shave off a lot of time)
I wasn't talking about that so much as every so often (And this was relatively rare, but when it happened it was annoying if there were dangerous enemies nearby) the Wii remote would say I went offscreen and I'd be turning to the left or right constantly. The aiming was alright, yes, but that little setback annoyed me.
I'm not trying to sound like I'm awesome at this game (and I know I'm not even close) but am I the only one who thought the boost guardian was one of the easier bosses?
But that's still not hard mode, lol. I don't think you'd be able to even beat him without the dark suit on hard mode unless you collected a buttload of energy tanks and got really lucky.
I know. BTW, the reason why I beat him without the Dark Suit is because I didn't know when I get the Dark Suit. I thought it was after I defeat Boost Quardian.

Spider Guardian and Boost Guardian were the two "That One Boss" fights in the game.
Boost Guardian because he does a lot of damage, is really hard to hit/avoid, and you're constantly taking damage from Dark Aether's atmosphere.
Spider Guardian because the bastard's more of a puzzle than an actual fight. A really hard, complicated, time-it-right-or-get-raped puzzle.
