Zazu is one of Disney's best sidekick characters(like Creeper, Fidget, and Sir Hiss).
As with all of them, one cannot help but wonder why on earth Zazu sticks with Mufasa. He is bullied and abused, and is on constant fear of seeing wild little Simba as king. It's a wonder why Mufasa chose him as sidekick.
aw poor Zazu, I just realised today how great of a character he actually is, he risks life and limb to protect the cubs from the hyenas, escort them safely, stop them getting into danger (song scene) very loyal advisor to Mufasa and then when need be to Scar (he's smart) and he does everything he can to save Simba from falling from the tree after all the abuse the cub gives him he still realises he is the king and graciously bows to him
and he gives big laughs when he gets beaten up, go zazu!
Oh poor Zazu! He's my favorite! But I admit, is is fun seeing him mocked :) All those parts were funny, except the smash against the wall scene, that's sad. Can you imagine how terrible he must have felt when he woke up to discover that Mufasa (and apparently Simba) were both dead? (Yes I realize it's just a cartoon, but think about it)
