Es una costumbre toser entre los movimientos porque es el momento que hay de "descanso" tanto para los músicos como para el público, si no sería una falta de respeto hacia los músicos y un objeto de desconcentración toser durante la ejecución. Excelente interpretación btw.
Check out his Sibelius, his Vieuxtemps, and a few of his other recordings...OH and his Paganini 1 when he is playing Paganini's violin...he is absolutely amazing, but don't take my word for it..check him out for yourself and form your own opinion!
What an appropriately sized orchestra for Vivaldi. I saw the NY phil play Chopin f minor concerto with a terrifyingly over-sized string orchestra. This sort of sensibility is appreciated.
Agree, he is underrated, anyone knows if he's still giving concerts somewhere??? Would be nice to see him and not being interrupted by scenery of goats and sheep...
@harmferinga I do not think he is underrated as he is well known and famous violinist. Only here in YT you may not think so. But YT is still virtual scene :)
@harmferinga He is doing well in Israel. But... when I heard his recent playing... oh boy... I truly didn't know what happened to him... probably he doesn't practice very very hard as his old days...
what is it with the cuts to outdoor scenery it cheapens the importance of the music by showing as some sort of background noise to people walking not a productin to be watched and enjoyed

no se por que shlomo mintz no es tan famoso y no es considerado tan bueno como lo es, para mi esta a la altura de itzhak perlman excelente violinista

Is it just me, or are there others who wish the coughers would stay home and avoid ruining the music as well as infecting other people?

Are you crazy????????
SHLOMO IS NOT ARABIAN!!!!!! JEWS AND ARABIANS..... YOU ARE CRAZY.
ALL OF US KNOW THAT JEWISH ARE THE BEST AND THE BEST VIOLINISTS AROUND THE WORLD.
PLEASE, DON'T OFFEND THE HISTORY, THE ARABIAN CLIPS DURING THE VIDEO ARE OFFENSIVE IN THIS PERFOMANCE.

WTF!???? Why does everyone cough all at once after the movement is done?? That's so effing rude...HAHAHAHA!!!
RicoPicoIV 2 years ago 2
because it's more rude to cough during the performance so they get their coughs out then
McSplat 2 years ago 7
Yep. But it'd be nicer if they brought some cough drops, it can be annoying whether it's during or in between performances

why is he reading off of a piece of music?
other than that, love his playing.

I think it's like a reminder.
If you have so many notes to play I think you tend to forget what you're supposed to play next at times.
