Personally, My thoughts about Elvis and Priscilla were that I think that Elvis may have fell in love with her; but, she was the cause of a lot of things that went wrong. Elvis once said that he automatically fell for Priscilla because she reminded him of his mother. I think if Elvis had never married Priscilla, he'd probably wouldn't have made a lot of the mistakes he did and wouldn't have went the way he did. Elvis is my favorite and all time love. I wouldn't blame Priscilla for them his condition became worse after they broke up. He was addicted to pills and that had nothing to do with Priscilla she in fact tried to get him help, several people did. You can't force someone into treatment.
The real pictures of them seem way different then the told story, noone really knows what happened, only them two, and she could be lying most likely she is, and we will never know,
No matter how many times I watch this movie I always end up crying at the end... Even though I don't agree with some of the things that were in this film... I still think it's a good movie.

i just thought this movie gave the rest of us who didn't know Elvis, a little insight into his life. I don't think you could sum up a person's whole life in a two hour movie, but I did enjoy this movie about him. And I liked that it was also from Priscilla's point of view, because it must've been pretty overwhelming to know a person like Elvis. I loved the songs in the movie and this fitting tribute at the end.

I mean for pete's sake, first they make Elvis out to be a mentally deranged woman beating rapist for 2 hours and then in the end they make a beautiful montage of him as if they had some respect for him. If your any kind of an Elvis fan, read 'Elvis and the Memphis Mafia' by Alanna Nash, absolutely brilliant book. That will give you the other side to this story. So, so, so sad that they couldn't make it work.
I still loved the movie and thought both, all, actors did a phenominal job. I just love Dale Midkiff. The piano music, so touching whenever there was a tender moment, so sweet ,brought you into the moment so much. What an incredibly complicated life Elvis lived.
ya know, most people question Pricilla's place in Elvis' life, but do we really know what she went through, or how lonely a rock star's wife really is? I watch this movie and read books on him and her, it's just impossible to judge. Watching this movie, to me, made me see something in Elvis - like he was in his own little world in his head and was'nt realistically involved in the reality of life-or true giving of self in a personal relationship; like he did'nt know how. How sad for them both.
I think this is so sad. I know Priscilla kept Elvis's name to pocket money but the only up side to it is that they are keeping his name alive and letting people into Gracelands. I wonder what Elvis would be like if he were alive today......

I'm the same age as Lisa Marie. I don't remember the past very well, but I will never forget the day Elvis died. My mom and I loved his music. I cried before falling asleep that night it made me so sad. I just wish Elvis would have let the Lord Jesus Christ fill his life with peace and joy and he would have stayed away from the drugs.

A few points: I grew up on Elvis, even being born a year after his death he was still my idol. Also Priscilla never really had a chance. Elvis was a twin, his brother was still born, psychologist say that he spent his entire life trying to find that bond he had in the womb with his brother. Not to mention the bond with his mother, NO WOMAN would ever measure up to Gladys.

I remember reading on a website (I cant remember which one) that Priscilla would do dancing with the stars as long as they didnt have her dance to any Elvis songs. I dont know if its true or not.

I'm the same age as Lisa Marie. I don't remember the past very well, but I will never forget the day Elvis died. My mom and I loved his music. I cried before falling asleep that night it made me so sad. I just wish Elvis would have let the Lord Jesus Christ fill his life with peace and joy and he would have stayed away from the drugs.

Read the death certificate and compare the handwriting to Elvis' letter he wrote to Nixon. In this movie Priscilla makes the insinutation that she is leaving Elvis because there is no room for her in his life.But in real life it was that and another man. In real life, she told him she was leaving for good after he woke up not before he was to go on stage.

A few points: I grew up on Elvis, even being born a year after his death he was still my idol. Also Priscilla never really had a chance. Elvis was a twin, his brother was still born, psychologist say that he spent his entire life trying to find that bond he had in the womb with his brother. Not to mention the bond with his mother, NO WOMAN would ever measure up to Gladys.
Nobody argues that Elvis was the king, this movie was her side of the story, as it pertained to the personal side of Elvis

The pictures and song are lovely, and I'm sure Elvis and Priscilla still had a love and respect for each other which had gone from idealized love that couldn't stand up to reality to a family love and affection. The divorce was not either Priscilla or Elvis's fault, and both had moved on.

That is not true at all. The time line is off here, and they left out the years 68-72. They were BOTH having affairs by 68--not just Elvis, and in her book she says they made love passionately throughout the pregnancy and DID do it again after, but hints the passion had gone out which is normal. She even refuted those "tech" virgin bride & lack of sex claims in later interviews saying "Of course we were having sex." However, they were living separate lives by 1970.

They show them together in 72, but she had come in from CA to tell him she was leaving & didn't love him anymore in Dec 71. She told him about Mike Stone in Vegas 2 months later when they had their confrontation she calls making love in her book, but something else here. Elvis got his male pride hurt because she flaunted Mike Stone publicly, & if he had wanted her back after that, he would have been laughed at.

Elvis missed his daughter, but he was never alone. He had long term relationships starting in 70 like Barbara Leigh, Joyce Bova, & Kathy Weatmorelane who was his gf & lover until the end. Starting in 72, he had long terms with Linda Thompson, Sheila Ryan,,Mindy Miller, & Ginger Alden plus many short terms.

I may not like the way Priscilla portrays herself the innocent victim which she has softened in later shows, but I have to say that she did NOT kill Elvis as some have said even threatening her. Priscilla leaving DID NOT kill Elvis almost six years after their actual separation! Also, Elvis DID NOT have a heart attack. Famed pathologist Cyrill Wecht saw the reports & said Elvis did not have a heart attack, heart failure,or a stoke. Blame the doctor giving him too many heavy pain meds.
