I make homemade microwave popcorn the same way you do. I use a large lunch bag, one half cup of kernels, and microwave it for 2 minutes and 45 seconds. All microwaves are different so times will vary. Not only is this a cheaper way of making microwave popcorn, its healthier. Other types of microwave popcorn are loaded with cancer causing agents.
She complains about "Over packaging" on the bag popcorn so she buys kernels in a plastic container... a PLASTIC container... When you burn plastic it emits foul gasses into the atmosphere
