i have an inkling that greentyce was just making an observation.... just saying. i mean, it's called "listening to the original album and being able to tell that this performance is performed a half step lower than the original key because greentyce is a good musician and can hear that it's lower"

Anyway, it confused me because this is the only known recording of her singing it in any different key. This was in '06, and she still tours with this song in the original key.

Just a funny thought.

That much was obvious, but I thought it was a little curious that they had her stop at "When they turn your dreams to shame"; perhaps a little irony, considering that they thought Les Miz would be a bomb? Then again, there may not have been a better place to stop.

Not sure, but I know it was planned. If you watch the video I have up of Elaine Page doing Memory from Cats, she only sang half the song, too. I'm sure there's symbolism to the places where they stopped...
