I really appreciate your video. I had a partially herniated nucleus pulposis and had phy therapy. I'm afraid I'll need surgery soon, cuz it's starting to bother me again. You look really great for only 9 days from surgery. I'm scared to have surgery, how long were you in a collar? How long were you in hospital? Were you confined to bed for any time? Does it hurt? Did they send you to physical therapy after surgery? Can you do your normal fun things like swimming.and dancing? karen
@lyteningstrike I was in less pain after the surgery but I put it off for five years so it hurt a lot before i went in. I only wore the collar when in a car to protect me if we had an accident. I had my surgery in a private hospital and was out the next morning. I can do most things but am cautious because my disease is not limited to the disks that were fused. My pain level is at a 2 when at its worst which is not that often. No physical therapy
@lyteningstrike I have gone swimming not the kind where you have to turn your head. My motion is not what it used to be & Im afraid of blowing another vertabre get a bone stim. if insurance wont get it buy one on ebay. they are active for 9 months before they disable themselves but most people use them for 6 months then sell them. they cost $5000 new but used ones with 3 month left for around 200.
@lyteningstrike I used Dr john Reagan in beverley hills he is a researcher and can do things other Dr cant. He can do artificial disk replacements. other doctors can also but he has done up to 5 levels FDA approves 2 He used a new device which has the shavings of the bone fragements left over from grinding the disk packed into it. this way your are using your own bone without hving to take it from the hip It heals way faster than cadaver bone He has an great website google him
