I stood up in my pew, and I wondered at his doctrine, for I had never heard such before. And then he went on... "You will say, 'Christ saith this', and 'the apostles say this', but what canst thou say? Art thou a Child of the Light, and hast thou walked in the Light, and what thou speakest, is it inwardly from the Lord?" This opened me so, that it cut me to the heart, and then I saw clearly that we were all wrong. ~ Margaret Fell, on how she was converted to the Quaker religion by George Fox
@aussiewasteland primitive Christianity is more like, the gnostic Christian, that everyone can have a relationship with god, without all of those people telling you how to worship and how to interpret the word, or understanding of god.
Very interesting! I just found out, in researching my family tree, that a good majority of my grandma's ancestors were Quakers from England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland who came to the Colonies in the 1600s. I had no idea.
Dear iccta, i just want to say you are very pretty!
And, i am a self-proclaimed Quaker-Universalist, but still eager to learn more and more about the Quaker faith. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!
Wonderful message of non-violence! It needs to be made known in this violent time. I am Convinced Friend and a Liberal Quaker, and I have read some cocervative Friends books. In would also be interested in attending a conservative Friends meeting. Thank you for putting these videos. God Bless you.
You have educated me on something I was a little cloudy about. As a Christian I never knew what a Quaker was. So continue your dialog and help me and other understand their ways. I am open for old and new ideas
