Love the scene where he sits with his mum and eats stake, it's exactly how I felt when I came back from six months abroad. People expect you to have a million things to say, but really it's impossible to sum up that amount of time and number of experiences in just one short and simple response.
I always pine for my year abroad whenever I see this clip or hear No Surprises by Radiohead. This film came out during my year abroad and the Erasmus group went to see it at the cinema. Only really got it when I saw the film once back home. Being the British one, I really, really empathise with Wendy! (although my brother's never got me out of a tight spot like in this film!!!) x
This part shows how when you come back from Erasmus, you are different. You feel like a foreigner in your own country because you've changed so much. You just spent wonderful times and made wonderful friends but you can't really explain it to your family while sitting on the table, lol
