Thank you so much for posting this! Gone With The Wind is the best movie ever made an no other movie will ever beat it. It was hard work, I don't even know how they survived through even half the film, but it was beyond worth it. Let the world never forget it's greatest man made masterpiece!!!
This movie not only makes me cry, but it makes me proud to be a southerner! And I know, that one day, THE SOUTH WILL RISE AGAIN and kill of all them damned yankees!
I am gonna move to Atlanta one day, I'll make a Tara just like they had in the movie. If I ever have a girl, I'll name her after Scarlett O'Hara like I was, and I hope that she will pass it on to her daughter and so on.
@buffycharmedangel102 Yeah...ah caught that!!Ah was so pissed of ah didn't bother adding anythin else,as ah would have started cursing the uploader out...an ah have more than enough 'dramas' goin down on a daily basis, that ah could live without...so ah juss let it go...saved the energy for somethin that is more important (to meh...of course)!!LOlol...ah MUSS be gettin 'old',as ah wouldn't have even bothered to analyse all that a few yrs ago lol!!Love Em,x (Marilyn)
Ahhhhh.... Golden Era Hollywood..... the era where stars were stars, with their exceptional talents, striking good looks, hard works, diligence, determination, and true glamour that sweeps us commoners off our feet.
An era which has long gone with the wind!
Today's Hollywood is not even the shadow of its former glory. Its stars today are more famous for their never-ending self-made troubles rather than their works! Bring back the Golden Era!!
Thanks for uploading this documentary. To be honest, i think this is far more than just a mere documentary, this is a historical drama just like the movie it self.
Oh btw, i hope you will upload part 2 & part 14, and until then: keep up the good job!! :)
This is the first time I have watched " The Making Of Gone With The Wind. Stunning! Simply stunning! I would like to personally thank all those who took the time to put this great piece of artistry togerther. It was as much fin as watching the movie for the first time. Bravo! Bravo! Luciano
Yes, it's true. She left her husband and 7-year-old daughter to be with Olivier and pursue her acting career.
I hate hearing about my fave celebs doing awful things (a mother leaving her husband and child is despicable), but I try to look at the bright side.
If she had stayed w/ her husband and child, she would never have been casted as Scarlett. Plus, her daughter Suzanne led a good life and wasn't bitter towards her mother at all.
Suzanne and Vivienne had a good relationship later on.
Wow,looking back, and seeing this.Gone With The Wind seems like a Grand Slam, the uncertainty, doubt and mystery ..... I mean all that huge work gave birth to the most, the greatest Motion Picture ever made.
Each actor performed the role that suited him or her, guess cant picture another Melanie, another Ashly or another Rhett or Scarlett.
I wont forget the soundtrack that personally I adore.
ty for this loved it nearly as much as the film what a great film and book, read it when young because of the film and it might not be what some call great litriture (sic) but it knows how to get to the heart ty
The music esp gets me every time and I've seen this movie well over one hundred times. Once a friend of mine and I drove for hours to see it at a drive in and we stayed for TWO shows.
All that's left of the original cast is Olivia De Havilland, and Evelyn Keyes.
I have been looking for a Making of Gone With the Wind documentry for ages! Thank you so much for posting!! It was very insightful and I enjoyed every minute of it!
