I don't think his a bad actor...I think this scene is how it has to be...is part of the story...all couples have arguments this is no the perfect couple...I think they are a good couple anyway....they do have chemistry but in a mature way, not like boyfriends in the show they are married.....
@rowelle Well...I just said that taking into account that we all make mistakes, then maybe he could manage that scene different but in the context I think it was good....that few words doesn't mean he's a bad actor...(Its my personal opinion)

A lot of other viewers have said that he looks constipated all the time and the way he delivers lines in general are always very whispery and he is very monotone. I'm sure he's a great actor outside of this show where he's not putting on an American accent.
Joe Fiennes is a great actor! Too bad you couldn't appreciate him. The wife, Olivia, is an awful character. She shows no heart whenever she deals with him. Neverthless "FlashForward" is an exciting show. I'm looking forward to every episode for as long as it's on air.

For the most part her acting is worse than his, but yea the "be honest with me!" part was a little.........odd. And when he says it he does something weird with his mouth that I don't remember him doing in his movies...... He's a great stage actor though.
I remember that scene. He ruins the immersion of most scenes he's in. It's hard to believe he's supposed to be the lead actor in this show. He gives me such major eye rolls every time he tries to portray real emotion that I'm considering making it into a drinking game just to get through his scenes.
IDC about this tiny detail... I loved the show!

Yeah, I found his character wasn't portrayed very well by Fiennes. Not that he isn't a good actor, he is. It just didn't fit him very well.
