  • This really helps change my perspective....it was all a state of mind for her. Much Gratitude!!!

  • The time Starfish spent with you was surely heaven on earth, and a blessing for you to know and love her! We have 7 rescued dogs and cats at our house right now and they are all so worth it!

  • Wow I personally own 3 dogs one is 11 but i only punish them if they do something bad but some people will buy 5 dogs and abuse them all I HATE THOSE PEOPLE...thumbs up if u hate animal abuse (starfish is a cute dog)

  • So may I ask, how long did Starfish live once you adopted her? Did you have a guesimate of old old she was when you rescued her? Thank you for loving her and giving her what she had deserved all along.

  • Amazing video..had tears in my eyes. bless the wonderful people who gave starfish her forever home with lots of love and kindness...they, along with starfish, are heros in my eyes!!

  • I just love my dog with all my heart

  • its an amazing story, actually really similar to what happened to my puppy. we rescued her last october. she was only about 4 pounds, wandering outside in a blizzard. no collar. covered in tangled and matted fur which made it hard to walk. her teeth were rotten and missing, had a few tumors. yet, i knew she was special, she had so much love to give. she was neglected and abused and there is a lot of fear in her. but she has improved dramatically and we couldnt be happier to have each other

  • Just goes to show you the power of LOVE. What an amazing spirit. Bless you little Starfish. God bless you for the lessons you taught us.

  • The little soul had a great purpose in her life to make others happy. Moved by this video. May the Starfish's soul rest in peace. Love you Startfish.......

    An animal rescuer!

  • What a wonderful video of Starfish. Thanks for posting it.

  • God Bless the people that rescued Starfish and as for the p-o-s that abused her burn in Hell

  • @scootosan Yes, God bless them. As for the person who abused her, rather than your suggestion, I hope that, instead, they learn from their crimes and live the rest of their life telling others how wrong they were and speaking up for the animals instead of harming them. Yay Starfish!

  • well done

  • Thank you so much for sharing this truly inspirational story of this amazing dog, with the world. May this darling "Starfish" dog rest in peace. God Bless you for taking such great care of her, as long as you had her. :)

  • i have two rescue dogs and one from a farm the 2 rescues where abused...and those to can not be seperated!

  • this is so beautiful! thank you this made my day =]

  • It is a sad fact of life that many animals suffer abuse of some kind during their lives. Abuse can take the form of physical assaults or punishment - but many suffer from the silent abuse of neglect. please support abused pets by visiting ABUSED-PETS DOT COM

  • Fantastic site! Keep fighting the good fight and spreading your message of knowledge and compassion.

  • A lovely 'nd true inspirational story. Thanks for share it

    God bless you

  • Bless you. People who adopt abused or neglected animals are ANGELS!

  • This reminds me of the 15 yr old dog I adopted who got over being paralyzed. It made me cry. If you can, please adopt older and abused pets. They will likely become a miracle in your life. In the end, they might even become the ones to rescue you.

  • I'd love to hear your dog's story! What caused the initial paralysis, was it malnutrition? Do you have a video posted about it? If not, message me!

  • He was a 15 year old dog we rescued from a shelter and was doing fine when he started having trouble moving. He was originally diagnosed with old dog distibular (sp?) disease but they weren't really sure what it was. It could have been a stroke or a brain tumor also. He got over it and then lived a few months before something else took him. But he did run and play again for a while. :) I haven't put up anything on it yet.

  • omg this made me cry so much :( i am horrified by the abuse and i am so happy that Starfish found such an amazing home that could look after him/her properly, you have done a wonderful job!

  • God bless the person who revived her.

  • i cant belive people (not including me i take care of my animals) DONT take care of theyre pets

  • my true story...

my uncle brought a pom 4 yrs ago, her previous owner couldnt take care of her, so my fam took her in... we took her to the vet, and we found out that she was 12yrs old, after serious check ups, we found out also that she had heart murmurs, and we were gonna pay for her surgery, when we lost her, she escaped from our hours, 3 months later after looking in every shelter of our city we found her, but she was not gonna be released to us, the pics that we had were not even close...

  • My dog half lapso/pomer. is my world we are 2gether every minute he has something wrong with his heart he is 10 years old got sick this past Jan 2009 and so did I we both seemed to have a vicious flu!The Dr said it is his heart I got to doing a lot of research and calmed the coughing down a lot but since yesterday he is coughing a lot. • That was amazing! Thank you for sharing this video. And I agree with namddongo we do need more people like you in this world!

    R.I.P Starfish!

  • Thank-you.

  • Thank you for sharing. It reminds me so much of my own angel who was beaten and hung once her previous owners realised she could not produce any more puppies. I cried for 3days when I heard her story and thankfully I was allowed me to take her home. Shes 12 now and the most loyal friend Ive ever had, she makes me so happy and although I can tell she has nightmares cos she cries in her sleep, her wagging tail when she is awake more than makes up for it. You did Starfish proud, bless you xxx

  • I am so glad you were able to rescue your 'angel', and that she has such a happy home with you. Starfish too had nightmares and cried in her sleep. But eventually her nightmares came less often. She slept on my bed with me & loved to curl up right next to my neck. She was always so happy & blissfully peaceful when she could snuggle against me & fall asleep knowing the world was safe & she was with the person she loved most of all. I'll always be grateful I had her in my life. I miss her so much.

  • that made me cry it is so sad

but yet happy in a way

  • Yes, and she was a beautiful soul. Incidentally, she was named after "The Starfish Story" which I noticed on your channel is your favorite motivational story. Sadly, I could not save every dying animal that came to the SPCA, but "I could make a difference to this one', so I did. And what a difference she also made to me.

  • thats a beautiful story!

  • Such a wonderful story.. I am glad you had a warm special place for Starfish. You made him such a happy dog....

  • Thank you for your comment. Starfish was indeed a happy dog, blissfully peaceful. I think she was grateful. She had such a sweet, gentle personality, and will be dearly missed.

  • How amazingly beautiful!

    Thanks for sharing.
