I have a Magnavox Odyssey that displays just the dots and ball on the screen but the ball goes through both players when I try to play Game Cart #1. Also, the center line doesn't show up. Does anyone know what is wrong with the collision detection?

No. Videogame consoles were envisioned in the mind of the creators, but it wasn't until someone thought about patenting these ideas and putting them to the market.

What I am say is that if the odyssey was never produced, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, and Playstation 3 would never exist. So the Magnavox Odyssey is the Godfather of all video game consoles.

I understand what you're saying, but video games would still exist, someone else would have just made a different machine that would have evolved into something else and we would have games today that are just as advanced as Xbox and PS3.
