could you do a video where you show how you hold your sticks? it seems to combine german grip with a more comfortable grip for the kit and its movements (also my kit is set up small and compact like yours too). anyway it would be great! thanks for inspiring so many drummers to...go and practice :)
@Superman54 I might just throw one into the next batch, lots of people ask about it. In the "Vinnie Fill" video it actually sparked a pretty good flamewar in the comment section...
@xRockDrummah96 the first R in the pattern starts on the ride cymbal with a bass kick followed by 2 ghosted Ls on the snare, then R on the floor tom, L on snare, then 2 ghosted Rs on the snare, an accented L on snare, then R and 2 ghosted Ls on snare then a lone Bass drum kick and it starts over. you can actually play the pattern with different accents and/or drum and cymbal combinations.
this pattern is based on inverted paradiddles i think.
@ElefanteTriste No it's with 16ths or 32nds, depending on where you want your pulse. You could make into a triplet thing though and that'd probably be pretty cool...
@ebbertgepner Thanks, the ride is a 24" K light ride with a 2" crack in it from the previous owner. The hats are a 14" K Special Dry bottom on the top, and an A Custom top on the bottom... I tried to copy the the K Session Hats.
is that the way u explain to the others how to play that´s beat´s!?? fuck !! why don t u play slowly !!!?? lol

When I was taking drum lessons I would slack off when it came to para-diddles and now that I play more advanced rhythms I really regret it :P

Pardon my ignorance, shouldn't there be another B in the notation?
spiaggi1 5 months ago
@spiaggi1 There are two bass hits in there, the other "B" is underneath the first "R".

what snare you got? sounds like yamaha 61/2 brass ... isn´t it? and what are those drums .... gretsch renown ?
mileswarm 10 months ago
@mileswarm I wish it were the drums you listed... The snare is a 5.5" maple I made, and the drums are old pearl exports. Thanks.
