Could any of you guys be awesome enough to help me find what the guitars players do to get their tone? I love that brutal distortion, but it's really thick/ fat sounding. A lot of thrash bands have really thin tone in my opinion, which is great for what they do, but I picture my music having a tone more like theirs.

I loved this in high school. Thrash metal to me was the bomb. Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Sacred Reich, Metallica, Violence, DRI, etc. God what happened to real thrash and speed and to Mosh Pits. I was in a band in Tucson, AZ where we opened for Testament and Sacred Reich a couple of years ago and these guys still kick ass. They don't look the same, but still sound as tight as ever. Nice guys too. The singer was wearing crocks and his son wanted our cd so we passed one on with a shirt. Great guys!
