  • @MULTIKERPLUNK

Please stop boasting about your age, a lot of young people listen to the Doors.

  • @broncoshite80 OUI MON FILS ECOUTE LES DOORS///IL A 16 ANS

  • La canzone più sottovalutata di tutti i tempi. è INSUPERABILE

  • @MULTIKERPLUNK Yeah, I can't disagree with you. I love Greenday and probably 2 modern day bands. And Your right, these guys started it.

  • @MULTIKERPLUNK Cool, I'm 11 too. Kids our age listen to crap and lyrics that don't male sense. This is were the REALY music began. And like they will say The Beatles, The stones, The doors, The Who and etc are all gay and people don't listen to them but there are freaking legends than that Lil Wayne crap. Thanks for being one of those young kids that know what true music is. God Bless.

  • Back in the day, we listened to two AM rock stations, WABC and WFIL. But there was one lesser known station that we listened to because they played more "up and comers", and also a lot of music that the other more mainstream stations didn't play. Can't remember their call letters. They were on air until 2:00am, and this was their sign-off song. Everytime I hear this song I'm a teen again, falling asleep to the doors. What an era!

  • Listening to this music summons the spirits of that time back through the doors.

Im sure Jim knew his music would work as a pearly gate for him

so he could come back whenever someone opens up the beautiful Doors,by pressing the (((Play))) button.

    I love this song,thanks

  • This is poetry at it's finest.

  • Great photos of Jim! I love this song! :)

  • @MULTIKERPLUNK stfu

  • HAS ANYONE MENTIONED WILLIAM BLAKE?

  • @MULTIKERPLUNK age dont matter u little idiot its the music that matters good god u little kids dont know ur ass from a hole in the ground anyway oh and now go brag to ur little friends cuz u said fuck and ur only 11

  • @MULTIKERPLUNK sorry i dnt know u but i let my friend use my computer and he likes the doors a little so i showed him this song and when i used the bathroom i guess i when he said that again it wasnt me im sorry for wut he said he's an kind of a jerk sometimes anyway

  • The Doors' songs seem to really lull me to sleep; they're relaxing and make me really happy. Like pot maybe...I don't know, I just love them! RIP Jim, we shall meet some day...No matter how creepy that sounded.

  • I am obssesed over the door and Jim Morrison i have been since i was 15 i need to EAT this song i want to dance barefoot in the forest to this song to all his hippie song i want to dance and sing in the river on shrooms while listening to his earthly songs i want to MARRY his music his lyrics i want to be burried with all of his cds and a lock of his hair

  • And of course, I love Jim, but the other DOORS were just as incredible. People tend to forget how amazing the other 3 doors were...and Jim was the beauty, but Ray kept that band together, and he had soo much talent. Ray really was the Doors.

  • this is probably my favorite Doors song...its hauting, and generally not very popular, though I can't imagine why...

  • @chassandoval1 we all are.shhhh.

this song is silky dreamy stuff.

  • im jims daughter....shhh

  • ahh man this song is so brilliant

    even better high or drunk!

  • @speednecromancer666

I love to lisdten to this at night, when its raining, and I got a beer and a j........quite relaxing mates^^

  • I'm 14 this music is brilliant. All that needs to be said, so all of you immature twats stop arguing and listen to The Doors .......

  • that little boy needs his ass whooped... not for listening to good music.. but for his fucking lauguage!!!!

  • @jodik07 very cool post...........................Morrison's lyrics and literary inspiration were awesome.....he prophesied, without even knowing it, the destruction of Los Angeles by drought and fire.....I project it to occur in the year 2035......it is in my book with lines from four key songs he wrote, "The Ebd", "The Soft Parade", "When the Music's Over" and "Peace Frog"......

  • In Ray Manz's book he says that Jm and he had a smoke outside a bar and JM wanted to get rid of Dens, but Ray said, no way. The circle had been crafted and could not be broken no matter what anyone wanted to do. I like Densmore. It doesnt surprise me that Ray would not want to get rid of his jazz drummer.

  • In Ray Manz's book he says that Jm and he had a smoke outside a bar and JM wanted to get rid of Dens, but Ray said, no way. The circle had been crafted and could not be broken no matter what anyone wanted to do.

  • @MULTIKERPLUNK whoa someones gotta mouth!why do you talk that way?

i really dont care though!i agree with you...

  • they also took from William Blake's 'A little girl lost'' poem to create ''youre lost little girl''

  • The Doors could not have existed without any one of it's members. They went together like Swiss clock. Precision is the game.

  • everyone sees the william blake reference, but what about the more obvious one to louis-ferdinand céline's "journey to the end of the night"?

  • @shambler92 The Celine novel just allowed Morrison to conveniently craft a title for the song. The song has no real relationship to Celine's book otherwise. Blake's poem and use of the phrase "Endless Night" was the main literary influence that fascinated Morrison. The same phrase, "Endless Night" was also written by Arthur Rimbaud in yet another literary influence, "A Season in Hell."

  • @pacnwcomre Nice to read an erudite response in this arena. Perhaps you are aware that the film "The Deer Hunter"'s French title was "Voyage au bout de l'enfer" (as opposed to Celine's Voyage au bout de la nuit)?

  • Come here Morrison, let's make an endless night!!

  • the doors and the floyd would be the ultimate double-bill!

  • 18 dislikes . YOU FOOLS

  • I'm going to love him till' The End Of The Night.(:

  • love the pics u used!

  • @skinnytokerj

Though, not for the first time. I prefer it on vinyl. ;)

  • @skinnytokerj

Best believe I'm doing that right now.

  • William Blake wrote the lyric. Jim borrowed the muse. To marvellous effect. Everybody who hasn't already needs to get stone high and listen.

  • some of the lyrics are quotes from William Blake's "Auguries of Innocence

majestically included in Jim's lyrics ... thank you for the photographic composition cerizedu13

  • jim... oh man.. he's just DANGEROUS.. ^^

  • This song was the reason I started to write poetry.

  • what a mysterious sound The Doors created. Don't think it'll ever be matched by another band

  • "Some are born to sweet delight,

Some are born to endless night"

William Blake - Auguries of Innocence

  • Happy 67th Birthday Jimbo...Dan Nealon

  • TOTALLY AMAZING SONG !!!!!!!!! JUST RIGHT LATE AT NIGHT ! TERA1320 CYBERPUNK EXTRODINAIRE !!!!!!!!!

  • Amazing photos! Jim was so right for the camera.

  • AAHAHHHHHzzzzzzz! Behold.. THE LIZARD!! Ugliness personified... Morisson was an extreme freespirit..

  • SOME ARE BORN UNTO THE ENDLESS NIGHT, HEY, WHERE HAVE I HEARD THAT BEFORE? chuckle

  • SOME ARE BORN UNTO THE ENDLESS NIGHT

  • My grandad died 2 weeks ago and we found some old 8mm movies in his attic. He went to Florida State, and one of his movies we just found is a miami concert with the doors, and the singer is drunk and gets arrested, and there is a bunch of weird chaos going on. My mom wanted me to look on you tube for something like it, but I dont see anything. We watched it on our projector, but we have to take it somewhere to get it converted somehow.Where would we take it?we want to put it on youtube

  • @NSA666999 woah I don't know but I wanna see this video lol

  • @NSA666999 Are you freaking kidding me? If it is what your suggesting, baaaah Question,is it the whole concert? and is it a home movie? if it is a relatively close shot you should compare it with the (Jim getting arrested) tube. Snaps! I cant remember the name right now. In this one jim is grabbed by two bulls, as he makes a (Whad' I do) face to the crowd. If the movie is an origional there may be a lot more than you could do with it than put it on you tube.$ kaching

  • @SCORNDOGGMELACH My Mom hired a lawyer, and he has negotiated with Oliver stones production company to verify its validity.Im NO longer suppose to talk about whats on the film BUT, Right now its a go for us to recieve millions in royalties and up front monies. WE ARE VERY excited!! You should read about it in the news soon. Thanks JIM MORRISON!!!!!

  • @NSA666999 Fantastic! I hope it works out for you. Cant wait to see it. On another note I'm sorry about your loss. Take care. Thank You Granddad.

  • the doors son dioses!

  • The Doors were unique. Jim Morrison was the most beautiful looking man in rock music. Doors music will live on.

  • several people sharing the same old nightmare.THIS IS NO SHIT!

  • @hotnancy100 hell yea

  • Who else took the highway to the end of the night?

  • @unionjack93 this guy XD

  • @unionjack93 All of us are walking in that direction. Blake wrote a poem which said that "every night and every morn, some to misery are born, every morn and every night, some are born to sweet delight, some are born to endless night." Rimbaud wrote in " A Season in Hell", "monstrous city, endless night" Morrison adapted his lyrics to that concept...Morrison inherited the free death that Niezsche embraced. He was so far ahead of his time it was amazing.

  • good music is a thing of the past......for reals.

  • i put this shit going all the time when im having trouble falling asleep. usually gets the job done.

  • i do need some of that acid. jim i wish i would of meet you.

  • SoldaSolutrea, I totally agree. I believe it was the whole band, obviously, and not just Morrison that made the Doors so unique. Honestly, the Doors are one of the most original bands I have ever heard. They were way ahead of their time. No other 60's music was so dark or deep.

  • @leahgoins76 velvet underground was also deep, dark band ahead of it time.

  • This fucking music got that something mystic magical etc

  • Pleins de photos que je ne connaissais pas ! Beau choix & beau montage !

  • wow! beatiful

  • HIS VOICE IS TIGHT

  • My religion...

  • Morrison's lyrics in '67 were more subtle ingenious than any Beetle's tune during their "transformation year." 1967 belonged to the Doors from California..

  • @bwil0401 Morrison wrote about 1965, "that year saw an intense visitation of energy. I left school to live at the beach. I slept on a roof. At night the moon became the face of a woman. I met the spirit of music." "End of the Night" was a song inspired by William Blake. "When the Music's Over" was a tribute to Friedrich's Nietzsche's book, "The Birth of Tragedy". Rimbaud's state of mind was Morrison's emotional mask. Norman O. Brown's interpretation of Nietzsche and Freud was the cement.

  • damm why did he have to dieeeeee

  • Comment removed

  • Given his personality and the philosophy that so imbued his lyrics and soul, Morrison old is far worse than Morrison dead. The irony is that Nietzsche celebrated the eternal life of the will and Morrison gave up his free will when he turned himself over to alcohol and become a subject to it. He wasn't ready to die in Paris but his will was broken and he was pre-destined to die in Nietzsche's tragic hero construct.. His acid trips on Jacob's roof top started it all after reading Blake.

  • ... it never ends with the Doors ...

  • @mauvetys Why do you think that is? What is it about all of these echo boomers and x generation kids who are so fascinated by his lyrics and the music? What is it? I was there in 1967 and saw them live three times. I was a Berkeley student and only had so much money to go to rock concerts. I have written a book and now await permission to quote from the Doors Music Company. It should be on Amazon in January. "Some Are Born to the Endless Night: Jim Morrison's Vision of Psychic Apocalypse"

  • ok, you misanderstood my comment !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i've posted a comment in french where i explain my fascination for the Doors be cool and too agressive!!!!

  • mistake: be cool and not too agressive "pacnwcomre"

  • yhank you, that was very sensitive for my soul.

  • i want to violate jim morrison and eat his shit so badly.

    rip. the lizard king.

god i love him so much

....es-ce que vous pouver .what is the word for translate.? "Tranduire....ou quelque chose comme ca. Thank you if you could translate it for me.

  • I love this song its really cool

  • Morrison was cool, but honestly only counted for 1/4 of the band. I find the piano (Manzarek) and slide guitar (Kreiger) combination to be one of the greatest in music. It's haunting, and gloomy, just beautiful.

  • @SoldatSolutrea your absolutely right

  • @SoldatSolutrea That is true, but The Doors would not have been The Doors without Morrison, He had a unique voice, and an explosive personality, he made the music come alive.

  • @ryderx3x3 Right you are.

  • @SoldatSolutrea Another thing to keep in mind is that the rest of the band kept things together while Jim was really at his lows. Really specatular how they did it.

  • @SoldatSolutrea You forgot about John Densmore.

  • @SoldatSolutrea So much uniqueness in there music!! :D

  • @SoldatSolutrea Yeah, I find it hard to imagine the frontman being backed by anyone else. Doors forever.

  • @SoldatSolutrea the lyrics are the thing that sets the band apart from anyone else therefore, no jim, no doors. granted robby ray and john all had valuable input into the music i just think that jim is more like half the band

  • @SoldatSolutrea i totally agree

the thing is they were all genius its odd because they didnt even realize their own mastery of music - they had no idea. But because they were so good and Jim was the frontman all we got was his aura
