I just finished making a snow globe for my girlfriend. I used a small Eiffel Tower figurine (she likes France) as a centerpiece, blue glitter (although a part of it had risen at the top of the jar and I had to take it out); I glued a red ribbon with a bell around the lid. Also I used water resistant construction adhesive (let it dry for almost 24 hours) and about 3 teaspoons of glycerine. It looks pretty, I think she'll love it, and it was fun making it too ! Thanks Howcast :D

My daughter made one when she was five, I still have it in my study. She made it with a motor to circulate the water so the snow is in constant motion. If I remember rightly she won a prize for it being the best in the school. It should have been as it cost me over $200 to get it made. Before anyone says that it is cheating as my daughter did not make it, well she had a hand in doing it and that makes it fair. She stuck the on/off label above the power button very straight indeed.

Btw I watched it again and made one. I made the glue green for grass and the water blue for the sky. I used butterflies for the glitter (I don't have glitter) and used a dog for the figurine. It turned out like a spring globe rather than a snow globe :D
