This concept has been used many times before either Strawberry Swing or Her Morning Elegance. It's been around for a long time really.

But what Coldplay did here that was totally different was that everything here was done by hand, with chalk, frame by frame, with him being used as a stop-motion doll almost. A very hard and time consuming task. But that's the same with most things, everything is a different spin on something already done, right? ^^

lots of people have used that technique before, like the adele video that came out before her morning elegance that did the whole "looks like their standing when they are really laying on the ground thing." nowadays its the people that think of different ways to put spins on things like that make them original, (this being the chalk, which is INCREDIBLY hard to do for a frame by fame 4 minute video)

It just sucks that because coldplay has more fans they get to say "we did it first' in a way. disappointing when you have so much money and an unlimited creative pool you use an idea thats totally unoriginal. I thought the vid was awesome. It was very creative yet it was not what I expecting but I still loved it. I thought it was great.
