Front right where the fog light is and right rear is lower bumper where the tow hooks go, tow hooks located in trunk on right side part of distress kit in audis. Look in operators manual for instructions on how to operate your vehicle.

@1989targatop . The tow eye is a TOW eye, not a recovery eye, in the same way that you should never use a TOW eye on a 4x4 for recovery, they simply aren't built to take the stress. A stuck road car should, ideally, be lifted out of trouble on a 4 wheel harness if you want a working car afterwards. Failing that, straps to both front wheels are acceptable in place of a better solution. It's the toughest part of the car given that it is doing all of the power and most of the braking.

There isn't any "frame" on a monocoque car that'll take recovery like chassis based car will, and that audi doesn't have a conventional front axle. Attaching the recovery strap to a wheel isn't really such a bad plan, if it's really stuck. At worst you're going to knock the tracking out a tiny bit, vs tearing the tow eye out.

audis dont have a built in tow hook -you have to screw it in. I got stuck on my bmw in the mud once and didnt have a tow hook either so the tow truck driver tied a strap to the wheel and pulled me out. So please everyone shut the hell up about tieing the rope around the wheel
@MrLowAltitude All VW cars have got a reverse thread in the front bumper and a hook that goes in there. The hook is hidden in the trunk and you have to read the manual to find out where it is and where it goes in the front bumper. I think that attaching a rope to a front wheel just shows their stupidity. They could have done something to the steering...
