the text looks like it is floating. Export real "ground" points into 3ds max and use that as the plane. Just a comment. Go to video copilot to see how andrew kramer does it. It's the 3d crater tutorial.

Is there any way to just get a trial version of boujou that is fully working? like being able to save and export and such? because i see a trial on their site, but they rent the software out $1,000 monthly, which is the usual trial time limit, so im confused, any insight?

its sliding over the ground. thats because you use different camera settings in 3ds max and for your real camera.

the camera in 3ds max just needs a few adjustments. the tracking is fine.

if your real life camera has got an 35mm objective it has to be 35mm in 3ds max, too for example

if you matchmoved something theres a camera in 3ds max thats moving like the real camera. click on it and on the right side of your window you can adjust it

you dont have to tweak it too much but dont give the motion tracker any video and expect good results. shots have to be well thought out. thats all.
