I was wondering if there was anyway I could keep the original boot up picture. Like can I just find a picture of it on google and use that or does it have to be a specific type of file

u dnt have to choose custom boot logo.... its just an option but yes and i dnt remember all of them but has to be a png file and less the 255 kilobits i think and the size is like the wallpaper size

Also I have made it to the dfu mode step and I can never get it to dfu mode. I even watch other vids and can never make it work. I always do exactly what they do. Also now I gave up and now it says libusb isn't installed and I cant get it to install anymore so I can do the jailbreak

For this jailbreak method, will you have to have the tethered jailbreak installed first, or will a non-jailbreaked ipod work?

u cant break ur ipod but u always can restore by putting it in dfu mode (like in the video)
