How come I never seen most of these f***ing commercials? The ONLY SNES commecrial I VAGUELY remember is Super Mario RPG. I remember the Conker's Bad Fur day commercial like it was yesterday. =_=.... are these commercials from Cable or exclusive to certain states or cities???

...and people wonder why SM initially flopped (against Donkey Kong Country) when it was released.

It took me 8 years of playing the first half over and over again before I went online (about the time I had my own computer, 15 years old) and found out that the big glass pipe underwater could be shattered with a power bomb. It didn't show that with the x-ray visor. I was pissed...
@Ti22Turtle If I recall I learned about that by letting the game just sit... After the title screen sits for a while, it shows random gameplay and reveals secrets... Like how different beams combined with powerbombs create different effects and the crystal flash thing where you sacrifice ammo for full health recharge. Good times.

@ZMat3 Well Super Metroid when you think about it logically, there isn't that much exploration, sure there is compared to every other Metroid game, though it's freaking obvious where you have to go or what you have to do when you're 14+ Fusion just made me feel more incontrol and more like a bounty hunter, Super Metroid is overall the better game, though Fusion was my first Metroid game and the one I enjoyed the most.

It is not that I do not like it, it is just that the "computer" telling you where to go the entire time made it a tad too easy/linear for me... It is still a good game though.

I loved this game when it first came out, and still do! If I remember right, I think this was the first Metroid game I ever played. This is still one of my top 3 fav. games to this day (the others being Zelda: A Link To the Past, and Goldeneye)

The only Metroid games I don't like are Pinball (just a boring pinball) and Zero Mission (not a good remake, too changed and that extension after Mother Brain sucks). Good thing they don't interfere in the storyline. I LOVE ALL OTHERS, they have creative plots, cool gameplays and good graphics for the time they're released.
MY FAVOURITE IS METROID 2 because it's completely new and different from the 1st, and told more about the metroids than any other. Metroid Queen is the coolest enemy ever!
Great video game, but I love how they're bragging about it's an awe-inspiring 24 MB! I've played games that have patches that are eight times that size.
When they said "megs" they ment megabit, 8 megabit is one megabyte so 24 megabit (Mb) is just 3 megabyte (MB). Most MP3 songs are bigger than that :P
There are newer games as small as your patches, N64 games were everything from 4 to 64 MB though most were between 8 and 32. CDs could have a massive 500+ MB stored on them and where cheaper, guess what the 3rd parties prefered.
sucks that stemage wasn't around back then for Metroid Metal if that got into this game with that badass music into 16-bit this game would've been to epicly awesome for the world XD

The game's awesomeness caused a paradigm shift in time and space, sending the dog spiraling backwards to the time in which its father f**ked its mother. The father f**ked a different dog, then the dog snapped back to the present as a different breed. XD

i remember how i felt when i saw this on TV when i was a kid waiting for this shit to come out. man, there's very few games that can give you that feeling.
When I was in high school, they'd show this news broadcast from Channel 1 near the end of our third period classes. They showed that commercial once during a Channel 1 broadcast. A lot of us laughed at the commercial, and even the teacher laughed. It was awesome.
Was this really broadcasted? How spoiling! You see almost any boss already, and the cool "where do I need to go"-puzzle is totally killed, because they show that you need to plant a bomb in the glass tube. That was cool to discover by yourself and not a commercial.

I remembr seeing this commercial. This was the first Metroid game I ever played. I still play this game to this day.

When I was in high school, they'd show this news broadcast from Channel 1 near the end of our third period classes. They showed that commercial once during a Channel 1 broadcast. A lot of us laughed at the commercial, and even the teacher laughed. It was awesome.

Was this really broadcasted? How spoiling! You see almost any boss already, and the cool "where do I need to go"-puzzle is totally killed, because they show that you need to plant a bomb in the glass tube. That was cool to discover by yourself and not a commercial.

Yes, I Recorcored "The Simpsons" 100the Episode Spactacular on tape which was broadcasted on May 3, 1994 and it has this commercial. Along with 3DO Ads about Nintendio being Pussbags.
