@iiKrisellee if thats lined paper from a notebook or pad, i would say thats too slippery, but someone else said they made one from it, so just test out a few pieces to see if it works

@sftbllr123 the paper might be too slippery. try add the next row of pieces immediately as you connect the base. more rows = more stable. if it still doesnt stay, glue the 1st 2 rows and see if the rest stays. if not glue the whole thing or find paper with better grip

but i got 1 mistake i made the base and 2 rows and discovered that my circle has 19 pairs instead of 18.

does that make the diference or it just makes me have more work?

@gestonobili thats ok, you'll just be using 1 more piece extra per row so you'll use a bit more pieces. not much difference. if you want you can just make a diagonal break in the base/body- whatever you've made now. and remove that extra pair, its just like removing one diagonal row, and you can easily join it back together. or just keep it as it is

@miichannnnn why would it look funny with glue? as long as you dont put too much so that it goes too soggy (if using PVA glue) or that it overflows with hotglue, then it should be fine. some people glue the base and the rest stays. some ppl glue the whole thing but I think its just timeconsuming. u can glue wot u have now since u already made pieces, and look for paper with better grip later

@nos0323 look up 3d origami for beginners in the youtube search bar and you'll find the vid which teaches how to start from scratch. dividing paper into rectangles, cutting, folding into triangles, and connecting them into a circle base

@BellaCullen0016 I just watched a white swan vid and made it, II didnt have any problems, the pieces just stayed together easily. for people that say theirs break, its probably cos your paper is too slippery, you needa find paper with good grip. and as for it going straight out, its supposed to do that, you just mould it with your hands, like squeeze it, to curve it upwards

@SuperGoku1998 Since I'm such a cheap Asian and can't afford to buy lots of good-quality paper, the best solution was to use glue with printer paper. 8D

How do you make your base SO strong?

@Jda867 its supposed to be like that. it just easily stays together. i make mine from printer paper and stack into sticks. it must be your paper or the way you're folding. if u wanted, you could buy my pieces to see the difference/ open it up to see exactly how its folded. if not, u could glue ur pieces if it really cant stay. maybe just the base

I love all of your videos. I was thinking about buying $30 of you origami 3D triangles. I also was wondering how do you make so many. I work on my pieces for 1 hour in the morning 30 minuets at lunch and then 2 hours after school for 2 weeks and I only have 1500 pices. I love origami alot. If you want you can look at my videos. @epicnessx0 yeah im chinese/cambodian born in NewZealand. nearly all my vids are bday gift ideas, i make crafts all the time with the intention of giving them as bday gifts. so anything from my channel really, depending on what colours/animals ur friend would like. u could make a ribbon heart if u hav ribbon and get how 2 do it, and fold stars or hearts and give them in a pretty jar. but yeah i dunno unless u describe wot kinda stuff ur friend likes

@AngelByTheDevil4 They just stay. 2 main reasons, the paper ur using or the way its folded. so ur either using paper too weak/slippery or not folding it properly. use printer paper and follow instructions from the beginner vid exactly. thers also a vid "base falls apart" with tips, and tips from other utube ppl in the comments

@Jda867 if you havnt watched the beginner vid, that might help if you havnt done any 3d origami before. on this vid, it shows at 0.25 - 0.29 (making "pairs", putting 1 piece of the right side of another, then making lots of those and attatching it) it only shows adding a few pieces 2gether tho and then a long circle is already formed. u would just do that by adding pairs together. but yeah it shows on the beginner vid. look up 3d origami for beginners

a tip to you who can´t make the base solid: make toose small pairs with 3 peices insted that worked for me or you just have to try some more!! :) hope this helps

how did you get the base to stay? wot were u doin wrong? inverted row is only 1 row. 6 rows for the body, inverted row for the neck. 1 normal row again, and after that is when u slot the red piece

@jewellia7777 accually i thnk i was making the triangles wrong.. because i watched jaxsters guide, and when you fold down the tips (just before you fold the triangle in half) he folds them like, partially into the triangle, which adds some more packing, making for a sturdier base, though i may have just not folowed correctly when i first watch your beginner vid.

no it wont be the same since you'll have extra spaces. for this i guess its ok cz its just the face and the rest is all white. but for like a diamond pattern swan or sumthn, if u get 1 thing wrong it'll screw up the whole pattern/ you wont hav it the same as mine. you can make anything as big as you want, you'll just hav 2 modify the pattern 2 make it in the rite proportion

dont think so, i dont have any problems and iv done this for 2 years. even my mums old friends sez its good exercize 4 their fingers.once my thumb joints did hurt wen i did it 4 long but obviously if they did hurt u wouldnt continue. so i would just stop doin it and yeah my thumbs wouldnt hurt anymore.
