Driving in Normandy - hedgerows

Thank you for sharing! My father told me that his unit bedded down in a hedgrow ditch one night after D-Day. A bull came alongside of him, stopped and was about to urinate. My Dad shook his mess kit to scare him off. The Bull went nuts...the commotion frightened everyone and wild shooting started in every direction. The bull was killed, the farmer was pissed off, and the first sargent was yelling "who the hell started it!?" My father never said a word..lol. Nice to see what he spoke of.
