Hey dude.. you call yourself a liberal. but you came off in that video as a typical uneducated conservative, DMB and Dave Matthews himself have done many environmentally friendly things in the past. such as a program that ask the bands fans to donate to offset there carbons that was the fans used to go to the concert.

also Dave Matthews is on the board of Farm Aid which strives to save the family farm and promote locally environmentally friendly grown food.

Ok, so I am a Dave fan. Im going to my 22nd and 23rd show this summer. But Dave is a huge nazi-liberal. Just because I like his music (when its not politically driven) doesnt mean I cant spot his incredibly hypocritical stance on environmental issues. For example: the fact that all members of the band have there own MEGA tour bus that they individually travel on. What was that about the environment, Dave??? Why must you neglect the good DMB does for the environment, yet focus on the bad? And you act as if all the money they are making from this show and donating to the park isn't going to offset the damage done by a few lights and generators. DMB's buses run on bio-diesel fuel, and the band also regularly donates to many causes having to do with environmental concerns.

You act as if this band is full of shit, and doesn't do anything to help out the environment. This is purely naive.

Also, in regards to "Dave pooping incident" as you have mentioned. It was the bus driver, who wasn't even with any of the band members of the time.Not only did Dave Matthews himself donate plenty of money to those affected by that, but he also fired the bus driver and there was a legal law suit against the bus driver...His name I believe is Steve Whol...look it up and get your facts straight.

Secondly, concerning DMB and their concern about the environment. Perhaps you have heard about the group Reverb. They work with music tours to make sure the tour is environmentally friendly. DMB has worked with them the past couple summers to ensure the following:

1) All tour buses and trucks fueled with biodiesel

2) Carbon offsets for all CO2 emissions from the tour buses, venue energy use, flights, and other travel

3) Biodegradable supplies for the tour

The last point you made was regarding the closing of the rest of the park, even where the concert was not located. That is correct, but it was only closed on Saturday (the day of the concert), not all 3 days as you seemed to imply. Do you really need to whine that much because you can't walk your dog 1 day? I know for a fact all that fencing was set up Saturday morning between 6 and 10 am.

I would like to point out that one of the main reasons this concert was held was to raise money for a 53 acre expansion to Piedmont Park. I agree that calling it a 'green' concert is a bit silly though. The massive amounts of trash people left everywhere was insane. I don't think it's fair to blame the band though. =0)
