I understand the battery and processor relationship differently. On a task-by-task measuring a dual-core should take more battery than a single core if both are clocked to the same speed. However, you theoretically could get lower less battery than a single core clocked at the same speed, but you would have to "game the system" by intentionally selecting a much older single core against and much newer dual-core.
@kyoshokev What in the hell would a windows phone need a dual core processor for if it's already smooth? Do you want your battery to only last an hour dumbass?
@jupapa94 Dual cores does not mean shorter battery life. Please get the fact right. Is how much the user uses the phone. If dual cores get things done faster, which in turn require lesser power to be spent on activities, why not??! And FYI, even picture editing now on WP7 is not really as smooth as I expected. We sure to need dual cores for more multimedia activities.
@chmun77 I didn't litterally mean "Dual Core = No Battery." I meant that the single core the Windows Phone has makes it much smoother than most Android powered dual core phones. So, all it would be doing is running to support a phone that can run extremely well on one core, thus, draining the battery faster than on a single core. Also, My Focus runs brilliantly with multimedia apps. Dual cores does not mean a better phone, you need to get that fact right.
@jupapa94 Well yes, I agree that WP7 is indeed running silky smoother on a single core. But Android is bad on battery is because if its OS nature, not because of processors. With current newer dual cores, I say they consume even lower than older single core CPU. So, i'm not sure why you people always have that idea of dual cores = more power??
WP7 may be "efficient" now, but with more and more background agents added to your phone, time will then tell. Why not just welcome more cores?
@chmun77 Now, at no point did I ever make a statement saying that Android(AD) has a crap battery life because of its dual core processor. I have very little experience with ADs, but I do know that it's not as smooth as WP7 even with its dual core processors. I have no problem with WP7 adopting dual core processors. It's just that the software the phones r running wouldn't really be able to take advantage of multiple cores, once its matured however, I'm sure that dual cores will become available.
That ui is gorgeous...I'm stuck on blackberry...well when I ditch my samsung fascinate next year I'm gonna get a new blackberry, or a samsyng Windows phone 7 device
Jaime good video but 2 points. 1st please stop saying "well" so much. You are saying it in almost every sentence. 2nd the Dell Venue Pro was a pretty phone plagued with problems. Thank G-d they are leaving the WP game. They gave windows phone a bad name. Keep up the good work.

@goblend It's the latin pronunciation of the "R". You making fun of it just demonstrate how ignorant you are.

@josneak28 you don't get to teach me how latin american people speak, i'm from Argentina.
And yes, it's hilarious how it sounds mixed with english, either you speak in english or in spanish... spanglish makes me laugh.
And btw, i'm not making fun of him, i just find it funny how he makes his last name sound...
