Hey, Tim! Leroy Elliott called, and he said he wants ALL OF HIS CHOPS BACK. Whenever you have a moment. You can UPS them, Fedex them, or just leave them on Youtube.
If you guys are going to talk about 'Whooping',how can you finish the conversation without mentioning the one that sat under and was mentored by Rev.C.L.Franklin! The one and only Rev.Jasper Williams...... Who really gave the whoop it's stardom!
you need to tune into Pastor C.L. Mayes. There's a sweep in the land of the young Pastors preaching. He was just in our city for 5 nights and he slayed the house every night. He's better in person yet humble as a lamb.....
This technique is called the "whoop". Originated By the late C.L. Franklin. There is a specific art to whooping that may make some preachers sound similar but i think they all have a uniqueness about their delivery. Bertrand Bailey jr, Timothy Rogers, and Leroy Elliot are a couple of my faves
@CourtyG03 it was being done before C.L. Franklin started doing it, he just made it more widespread and popular, "whooping" is something that has traced itself back to the continent of africa, the "whoop" is the song in your heart linking up with the word in your spirit that creates a melodic rendering of the preached Word of God...
It's called the "whoop". Originated by Pastor C.L. Franklin! (Aretha Franklin's Daddy) Every whooper brings their own uniqueness to it though there are alot of similarities! Bertrand Bailey, Timothy Rogers and Leroy Elliot are a few of my favorites
funny you said that!!! by boy sent me a clip of dr elliot and i sent this vid to him saying tim rogers preach just like that!!! lol..then i saw this comment
Not Really I Know some Preachers out of Jersey ( but grew up in the south) thats in their 70's that Hoop this way im talking down to the way the pronounce certain words. They are older and been preaching longer than Leroy Elliot...Its a Style and sound that alot of preachers have! We really have no real clue of who or where it started!! the people that really know are most likely dead !! The Style and sound (vocally) is Ancient!!
Thanks for the compliment about my pastor. But let me encourage you that everything else one day will come to an end but the word will last. Worship is great believe me. I am a worshipper but it's the word that will make the change in your life. Be blessed!!!
How are you doing this is Rev. Maurice Gant in Minnesota. I met you thru my uncle here Pastor Eugene Wright from New Life we came to your church in 2004 when Dr.Leroy elliott preached and Jamar came with us too.
Every young preacher who can sing or hoop loves Leroy you song like whoever you listen to the most, I do agree he needs to use his own adlibs but Leroy cant do it forever so thank God theres somebody who will carry on this tradition. However A LEROY HE IS NOT! To do Leroy one must study Sam Cooke that where Leroy gets it from
Well thats my cousin and he really gets his style from his daddy. I don't know the man you are talking about but he preaches like his daddy.. "R.I.P UNCLE TJ ROGERS"
That's right, I've never heard of this Leroy, fella they talking about. I don't know if anybody in Blytheville has. RIP Bishop Rogers. New Immanual still remembers...
His whole family has been blessed. You should check out his sister Pastor Linda Pomerlee out of Mountain Home, Idaho. She was my Pastor when I was stationed there. Also one of his other sisters is Evang. Barbara Mitchel. She has a couple CDs out. She used to sing with God's Property and Kirk! I missed the family deerly!
this man is an AWESOME pastor and singer he came to my church in mississippi and turned it out. Blytheville,Ak got it going on. 26yrs old and powerful. Go head Tim
Pastor Tim Rodgers delivered some encouraging words. I look forward to crossing path with him as life gives us travel in preaching the gospel. Elder F.N. Owens
Tim has a CD out called WE NEED TO PRAY; BY THE REEL BROTHERS. ITS NICE. I'm playing it right now. Its a live recording. I was there it was very nice and God Filled! Check it out...
Aww man!!!! G.E. was one of the whoopers christiandom has ever seen!!!! those guys are pretty good but look up TODD HALL: WILLIE CAMPBELL: JOYCE ROGERS....all are pentecostal/holiness!!!! their all on youtube
I agree GE could just flat foot preach he didn't have to move around and all that nonsense but stand flat footed and walk the entire BIBLE yes every major turning point!!!
Im sorry yal but can we talk about some of the baddest whoopers around......Willie Campbell, Todd Hall, Joyce Rogers, William Ellis, G.E Patterson....jus to name a few!!! GIVE ME SOME FEED-BACK
William Ellis? I have not heard of none of these people except GE. He wasnt really a whooper...GE..more like a tuner. CL FRANKLIN, LEO DANIELS, JASPER WILLIAMS, CHARLES EMERY, DONALD PARSONS, JERRY BLACK, CAW CLARKE are more like WHOOPERS!
Sista, I'd love to hear more of this young man. I do productions as far as Gospel groups and I also do church conferences. The website does not come up I even tried a google search...
This Rogers guy has the whoop down would like to hear him squall(holla) at the end though. But what about when you put Baptist and Pentecostal together and you have Bapticostals such as Bishop Paul Morton.
where did he grab his whoop from - i mean for a minute you heard the strings in the back and all of sudden this black boy pulls out the a HOOPVILLE MASTERPIECE!!!!!
Nope I'd have to go with Jasper Williams on the whoop and as far holla or sqalling the late Rev. W. Leo Daniels. Leroy is not that bad he's different but there are others whom I think would run circles around him...
The first maybe 5 minutes reminds me of Leroy Elliot....but still an awesome message!!!
