@Omarcito69 lol i didnt justify to my wife about a challenger. i always said no to cars because i really have no use for a fuel effecient death trap. then i finally said "You know the reason why we dont have a car? And i mean the real reason!" she said why? i pointed to a metallic blue R/T with white SRT center stripes,(must have had a stripe delete and refit or something) and i said "becaue i love muscle cars like that challenger and i love challengers!" she said "ok" i was like "GIGGITY"!
I doubt it. It might hit 60 mph in 5.3... maybe! And there is no skill in drag racing; practice perhaps but a quick car is what wins a 1/4 mile, not talent.
@puffrooster@challengerFan61@rick859 The Challenger Vehix tested was equipped with an automatic transmission, and was driven in Utah more than 5,000-feet above sea level. Our claim that the Challenger races "from 0-60 in ABOUT 6 seconds" is not adjusted for altitude, temperature, or wet weather conditions, and we generated that general number from a standing start at idle. A more accurate statement is that "the Challenger races from 0-60 in UNDER 6 seconds."
@vehixvideos - of course; but if anyone said it was capable of 0 - 60 in under 5 seconds, then that statement would be inaccurate, based on other performance reviews....
@puffrooster Dude if you can even some what drive, you can hit 60 in 4.8 seconds easy, ive seen SRT8s as fast as 4.2 sec with just a CAI and a tune. The new V6 challenger will do 60 in 6 seconds.
@ChallengerFan61 - According to Michael Waterman (the dude in this video), it takes the SRT8 six seconds to reach 60 (62) mph! It has little to do with, "knowing how to drive." Racing a 1/4 mile doesn't take skill; (you) just have to keep the car straight and shift at the sweet spots. I doubt this car can do 62 mph from not in 5 seconds but I will see for myself at the street legals this summer. These pony cars are a dime a dozen and someone will surely show up with one! (?)
@puffrooster The dude in the video is the only person ive seen claim a 6 second to 60 for SRT8, Motor trend, Car and Driver all have gotten around 4.8 to sixty, i know myself it will do that no prob, and racing the 1/4 does take skill, launch wrong and you lose make one bad shift you lose. Takes practice.

If you have to justify why you bought the car to your wife, you don't have the balls to own a Challenger.

I have the SRT8, and 5 seconds 0-60 is typical in this car, not 6. Unless you don't know how to drive the car.
