This cover is one of the few good things to come around in the music world in the past ten years. I remember watching late night television, and seeing bands in pink outfits, in costume, shooting off pink smoke and pretending it was the eighties every night. When Gonzalez appeared without a backing band, in a plain shirt and pants, quietly playing something good on acoustic guitar, it was the highlight of my week. Minimalism never ages.
