How canu say that it was Korea that benefited during that period if Japan was the one that was mooching off everything from Korea? but I must say Japan doesn't deserve any credit during the period in any way- everything they did was for their own benefit, sure, the economical development of 3.5%, is that really significant compared to the 10-11% increase of the 70s. Railroads were built to transport war material to Manchuria, only Japanese living in Korea were allowed to attend university.
You only wanted to integrate Korea into Japan

Democracy would have been extinguished in Korea if Turkey, Columbia, Canada, Australia, UK didn't come to our aid during the Korean War. And, we only wanted to help South Vietnam fight communism, nothing more.
How can you compare that with acts of colonization?
Has Japan given any technology to Korea for free?
