Just ignore the haram police who keep on saying music is haram.
If they believe it's haram then they have to keep that opinion for themselves and not push it on others.
Many scholars have discussed this issue and see nothing forbidden about it.
The problem is that the main stream scholars consider it to be haram ( I used to follow their opinion).
I'm a muslim and I hope you keep on playing violin.
