  • i was an apprentice at luton in 1985 and shared a house with him for 6 months,he was a true gent and a great footballer,he will be sorely missed.

  • I've just come across this. A wonderful tribute to a wonderful player.

    A Walsall fan

  • When I was a boy I was short like Preece, so always pretended to be him playing football down the green.

  • Great vid NobbyDVD I liked Preece as a player, he was a good honest player that it was hard to dislike, was very sad to hear the news he had died esp at the age of only 44. Hopefully you guys will have a good season next year as a fitting tribute for him (though not against Forest) once again fantastic tribute vid.

  • I don't mean any disrespect but how did he die? RIP from a Gooner who watched him beat us in '88

  • He had got the all clear from cancer two years ago (I think the same form of it that took the legendary David Rocastle from us six years back). Not sure though. He was taken into hospital with a throat infection or something on the Monday and died on the Friday. Hope that helps

  • Thank you so much .Its a great tribute a great footballer .44 is no age to die

  • WHAT FANTASTIC MEMORIES THAT VIDEO GAVE US.

PREECY HAD A CULTURED LEFT FOOT, AND WAS ONE OF THE BEST PASSER TO GRACE KENILWORTH PITCH IN MY TIME OF WATCHING THEM.

I don't mind admitting, but I had a tears in my eyes after watching that 5 mins of great highlights.

GOD BLESS YOU DAVID, AND THANKS FOR THE MANY HOURS OF ENTERTAINMENT

And my thoughts and condolences are with his family at this sad time.

Well done Nobby (Simon)- Great Video clips.

  • Short, Fast, Loyal, and a Hero.. What a tragedy

Thanks for the video you brought back memories of a great team and a great man

  • His reaction to the goal at 1:40 almost brought tears to my eyes - it really summed up his love of the game and for the fans that cheered him. 44 is no age to go at - RIP Mini. You'll always be remembered.
