NanoPad = biggest pile of crap ever produced by a music instrument manufacturer. 2 x units DOA so I'm going to spend my time trying to do £60 worth of damage to Korg's reputation. Which is probably a drop in the ocean compared to the damage Korg themselves have caused. Avoid at all costs!
stupid question, but coming from acid pro so a bit confused.
I have the nanoPAD and just bought ableton
Is there anyway I can load, say the 808 drums or 909 drums onto scene 1 and then some samples of mp3 cuts (cuts of different songs) onto another scene?
I used to do that with an MPC, but before I open ableton I need to be able to do that. It's basic, but it's enough to bang out beats. can I also cut mp3 files from within ableton as well?
how do i set the nanopad up with Reason 4.0's Redrum?
I have found this on some review-like website...
"Using the Korg Kontrol Editor software, I went back and reprogrammed it so that Pad 1 would trigger Redrum's Channel 1 sample (C2), Pad 2 would trigger Channel 2 (C#2), and so on."
I Did that but get no sound from it.
its not reason cos my nanokey works with it.
If someone could help a brother out id be really appreciative.
@onizuka8: I haven't used Reason in a while, but from what I remember you need to configure it to send MIDI notes to Redrum. I think you can do that from the module that's way at the top, the one that lists all the outputs you have. You should have an option there to configure specific MIDI controllers to send notes to instruments & whatnot.
Yeah, they've added a ton of new device for it and Kong drum designer / Dr Octo rex which are pretty sick. Blocks is a pimp new feature as well, really useful... They got support for multi cores now too which is nice for rendering really big tracks. =] love it so far!
This thing sucks. I bought all the NANo Pads, and they didnt last. Keys on the Nano Key fell apart (3 of them). The NAno pad doesnt omit any sound on three keys. So if you want something that last . get an Axiom keyboard controller. Serioulsly
@germancillo i need something to make beats for my guitar tracks. does this or the mpc come straight out the box ready to make beats or do i need to buy some expensive program. or lead me to something please that i could buy that would do all that.
It's Ableton Live, however he's only using Live as a frontend to run the Battery 3 VSTi which a seperate drum machine program made by native instruments.
PlZ ANSWER ..... Do u have to plug it into ur computer

@mrbyg97
That''s like saying "which is better a piano or a drumset." It really depends on your purpose of getting a controller.
