@blazethekiller11 That is impossible. Judo was founded in the early 1900's, so how can samurais be involved. One of the last great samurais who lived at this time used Aikijujitsu. So you are very wrong. Judo came from jujitsu, and samurais did not use it. If they did it was sporadically.
@Spyky111 I don't agree. Listen you obviously have internet access, just look up the time line and you will see for yourself that your statement is wrong.
@jackoadeetayo1 Yeah, it tends to be fun. But once you get use to it, make it a point to go through the whole technique and don't blink. It redefines thrill ride.

i was in a fight not long ago and somehow i ended up with the tip of my middle finger being broken....how? i have no idea....i mean all we did was push each other around then he went towards me. so i grabbed him and did a choke hold took out my weapon (some random stick i had with me at the time) and hit him in the head. game over. i won. but how my finger broke is some what of a mystery....
@frikodian Sounds like real life. You may have hyper-extended that appendage and possibly put some weight behind just enough for it to get your attention later on. But adrenalin was pumping at the time and it was not a priority, survival was.
I use to be a bouncer and got into it with a some siblings, I don't remember hitting someone but my hand to swelled, so I obviously did something wrong. They spent the weekend in jail and i nursed a sore hand. All is good in the universe.
@DragonZord90 I don't do Judo. Muay Thai and Boxing are my arts, I spar with and try to gather information from practicioners of different styles. My friend does Judo, and I sparred with him (I should have clarified), and he used correct technique, but the way the throws work, my head recoiled everytime on the mat. Still fun as hell.
Isn't Judo the "Gentle way"? It seems to me there is nothing gentle about slamming, throwing, and trying to break another person's limbs. I've been thrown multiple times by judo techniques during sparring, it's fun as hell, but I had to take a shit load of aspirin once I got home.
@FlashmanJW there is one more translation to "Ju"in japanese rather than gentle also means flexible. A Jujutsu master contemplated trees in a winterstorm, he observed the big strong trees breaking under the weight of the snow, while the smal flexible ones would yield and allow the snow down thus not breaking. He is claimed to have invented Jujutsu the Flexible Art of which Judo is derived. In Judo if you are pushed, you pull, if pulled you push, and this is how you apply this Flexible way.
Jujitsu is a very fun martial art to practice and helps to defend yourselves well against those who want to harm you. It saved me many times and I hope that it will keep me alive in future incidents
i'm not disgracing jujutsu my friend....i've been doing Judo and jujutsu for about 34 years,so i know both arts very well and one thing i learn was respect and honor from both and yeah there very similar....i'll say that there brother and sister and one way i can explain both is one spends 80% standing and 20% on the ground the other does the opposite, one apply's throws that if done right the fight is over the other takes u to the ground and submit, there principles r very much the same..peace
@Ninja3657 have some respect for others we all just having opinions on martial arts no one should be trying to put any art down, they all have there's positives one positive from all of them its HONOR,RESPECT

@mobielappel@mobielappel how is that if u have any knowledge of Martial arts first of all u don't downgrade any art specially when u coming out and calling that anyone that does Judo are pu**s for sure u don't have a clue what u talking about(Judo translated to English stands for GENTLE WAY) what that means is no force is used .In a street fight if u apply a judo throw the fight is over in 10 seconds no need to go to the ground, plus u can fight multiple peeps ....peace my friend
@mobielappel please boy do not disgrace Jujitsy's name, is so embarrassed to see that we still have children like you training jiujitsu... jiujitsu is an art, and is not for fighting out of night clubes or something like that.
If you dont grow up no one is gonna respect you...if you want respect, respect the others.
@mobielappel why is it then that the police force in japan choise judo over jiu jitsu after they staged a competition to see what was "'better"' judo and jiu jitsu and judo won by a landslide, i practise both myself ( not that long yet 1.5 years) and i respect them both i personally like judo better.
To all those arguing over what the Samurai where taught. Lol
All true Bushido arts linage came from Samurai. The Samurai would call it "fighting!" in different ways and kanji's including Akido, karate-do,judo, jujitsu, juijutsu, aki Jitsu, Kenpo Jitsu. Lmao
@adgang123 There is a difference between Martial arts and a system... Forms like Judo, Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai and Kung fu are a Martial art as they also put a deep focus on the spiritual or bettering oneself on top of the fighting parts. Krav Maga and maybe even Sambo can be described more as a system as it was put together for practical usage for self defense or fighting.
@TheRuckanucka How could they do that? Aikido is invented by Ueshiba Morihei, who was born in 1883. He first called his Art Aikido in 1941. The Samurai were abolished in 1873 by Emperor Meiji. So Ueshiba Morihei traveled back in time?
@KickAssFan2010 I always wondered about the relationship between the 2 martial arts. I do taekwondo, but my sister does (I thought) judo, but then she told me she does a bit of both, which was confusing. o_O
@KickAssFan2010 you use your onw force to get you opponent of balance, this only has to be a very soft push/pull. anyway hope you get it, ever trained judo?
@TheRuckanucka well yes, that's what I said, what your talking about is the instincts part, where you use your instinct to chose a weapon, and your physique to use the weapon. And maybe a technique or two would be handy. As long as it works, I don't see where you disagree.
Lol, in every video I see with martial arts, there are always some people ripping each others heads of, on about what is right and what is wrong.
Guys, in the end, every martial art is just: Routine (techniques), physique, and instincts (senses). I don't think it matters if it's Judo, Ju-Jitsu, Aikido or Aiki Ju-Jitsu. Just as long as it works. I know some of you were discussing history, but I'm writing this those who doesn't. And I'll be writing this many times, in many places.
@atexomogan No samurai trained in Aiki Jujitsu. Aikido and Judo came from Aiki Jujitsu. In fact one Aikido's founder trained in Aiki Jujitsu then making his own style after taking out some moves. Please be quiet if you are going to be this ignorant

notice how the dummie that's being thrown is landing perpendicular to the throwing dummie. the 1 being thrown should land straight in front of you. you achieve this by turning your shoulders more.
