Russian Invasion? I doubt that this will happen as they will be fighting with nukes rather than sending their troops into battle.

Plus the russians have lost their edge in weapons making. American weapons are far more superior than their russian counterparts

not entirely true there was massive dismantling of nuclear weapons in both Russia and America, also both countries develope defense systems against missiles so the focus on soldiers and there weapons have increased.

There may be a massive dismantling with nuclear weapons but the remaining nuclear weapons that are fire-ready are still enough to bring a continent down.

Plus the most effective way in defending a nuclear attack is offensel. Remember RT-2UTTH Topol M, the very same missile that Zakhaev launced against USA? If you read its Wikipedia article, the missile itself has its own missile defense evasion capabilities that is immune to "any current or planned US missile defence system". Nuke is 1st opt.
