ok, Kung-fu is real, we all know this. MMA was started to see what fighting style could win. It had NO rules when it started. BJJ won the first one. There were kung-fu guys and karate guys, wrestlers and boxers. A monk will never fight in a ring or cage. So that we would never know. Knug-fu vs MMA in a real life situation, the MMa fighter will win 100% of the time. MMA fighters train to really hurt and have the ability to kill. They are bound by rules once they step in the cage. MMA wins easy.
Probably the monk, however a fight can end any way, all u have 2 do is screw up once. But I would place my money on the monk just because of the hardcore training they do.
WOW! WHAT A LOVELY GOD IS THIS!!! HE PREPARES HIS WARRIORS WELL... (AND TAKE CARE OF THE LAUGH TOO: I WILL BE SMILING AS I WILL BE KILLING YOU -HEHEHE)
@ahverypro I have my High green belt in kempo goju karate do, so YES I know how fast a fight will end when you snap some ones arm. Also I have used arm locks while doing security. people become very compliant when they feel that amount of pain.
@FlaminFOX100 lol serious? the monk is expecting the mma fighter to punch him, a five year old kid could somehow react and think of a move to counter a slow play punch the white guy is throwing. throw these two guys in a cage or anywhere for that matter and i assure you the mma fighter will win, shear size alone give him the upper hand. you kids need to stop believing in fairy tales where the little guy somehow manages to best the bigger guy cause that shit never happens.
O it does. I had a girlfriend that was a 9th degree black, and studied Martial Arts as if the world would end if she didn't. She wasn't a "Big" girl. 5ft 6, 110 lbs, could beat the shit out of everyone. Showed half of the football players up, beat a guy who was 6 ft 7 and 234 lbs, and he tried to wrestle. It can happen and has happened, so It's not a fairytale as u think.
@werebee what a load of shit, they won't beat MOST western fighter's...! Most western fighters have master different style's around the world. Just remember size, power, speed & brains basic skills for western fighters.
@jontense I wouldn't really say size is a skill. You can't help how tall you get. But unfortunately we'll never know who would win until the best Shaolin monk fights the best Western fighter.
That's a totally awesome technique for taking on someone who throws verrrrry slow punches and then stands there and wait for you to rip their nuts off.
1. A guy gets beat up in a club infront of girls by typical bully. 2. His ego is hurt, and goes to shaolin monk to learn these moves. 3. Takes years to learn the moves and inner peace and shit.4. Comes back to the club with confidence to enjoy all the hard work he put. 5. The Bouncer wouldn't let him in cuz now he's too old. Time is gold.
That's so cool. I would love to learn from a shaolin monk. Although, first I need to learn how to be extra patient... I mean I can be patient if it's something I absolutely love. Like my bandand I have been composing tracks for our first real album since the beginning of this year, and I have a lot of patience in the whole composition aspect. But that's pretty much it. 0_o hehehe
i love MMA and BJJ/Muay thai. BUT all you idiot MMA fanboys please understand. MMA is a SPORT.. with RULES. Ancient martial arts was developed to kill opponents with weapons or your bare hands. BJJ was developed in the 1900s to replace the ancient forms of combat Judo because you couldn't kill anymore and thus focused instead on subduing an opponent. Ancient Martial Arts wasn't meant to be used as a sport and will never be a sport.
@misakihou Some forms of martial arts are designed to be used to kill. Others are used to subdue, even weapon forms. But don't forget Sumo, it was designed as a sport. The most dangerous role in sumo is not the wrestler, but the judge.
@misakihou you mention muay thai in the first sentence, also just as a sport? (sry if i mistaken) if yes muay thai was developed from "muay boran" a art of war. In Thailand and for me as a thai, muay thai is a life mentality. ok most people train to show other they got "big balls", but its meant to be more. short there are diffrent ways to learn and teach martial arts but somehow all of them were acient..and sry dont want to sound like a fanboy or a mr. know-it-all, just want to share my opinion
@misakihou THANK YOUUUUUUUU, I AM SICK OF ALL THESE MMA FUCKING TWITS SAYING IT THE ONLY REAL FIGHTING AND SAYING KUNG FU DON'T WORK. IT WORKS IF YOU WANT TO KILL, DUMB FUCKS.
@misakihou Believe me my friend,MMA can easily kill you too.Take out the referee, take out the rules and you will see the results. So don't get confused, there is not a more effective martial art because it simply compines them all.And i'm not talking about saolin monks or masters who has studied their arts for many decades.I have huge respect for them and they can be dangerous.
Well said, but I still would like these "monks" to pove their skills in a UFC. I have not seen one do it yet. Don't come with the pathetic line of "... not a sport"; I know "discipline/control" is almost a mantra of theirs which they supposedly would implement in the octogon. I say, "Bring the mystical 'chi' to the gon and show that it is simply BS. C'mon, bring one of these 120 lb (chi) guys and have em fight a heavy weight, he'll get his but handed to him.
@Timothyk11 i guess you still don't get it.. these guys have trained their whole lives a certain way and it would be really hard for them to adapt to something else or unlearn what they know!!.. i'm not saying it couldn't be done.. but there is no reason for them to.. its a lifestyle and they don't fight for sport or money.. saying that they won't do well in a sport event is stupid.. lets do a to the death no limit fight and lets see who will win.. see.. can't compare apples to oranges..
this really works in real life, have you seen any monks in the UFC or Strikeforce? There is a reason. Brute force would kill this clowning monk idiot, let alone any decent set of muay thai or bjj skills.
REAL Shaolin monks are masters of simply avoiding being struck. They rarely make any offensive move. They simply duck out of the way, leap, parry blows, and eventually win by just wearing their opponent out. I've seen a couple of actual "fights" like that, and it wouldn't sell ANY tickets, because no blows were exchanged. The Shaolin just gracefully steps aside over and over and over.
Well for the people who keep stating that an MMA fighter would dominate this guy, you are sadly mistaken. The shaolin wouldn't fight in mixed martial arts for a couple reasons. Firstly because they do not fight for personal gain, only defensively, and second, because they practice 'win-at-any-cost' fighting, which is simply too dangerous to be used competitively. They could severely injure or kill an opponent with the techniques that they practice.
@ghidfg Thank you, no one realizes all this kung fu crap and karate this and that goes out the window during a real fight. Also, these sort of tactics and methods are only effective against people who are using the same fighting style as one another. I used to bounce, I would have laughed all the way to the bank after grounding this guy, and mangling his face with some 12-6 elbows.
The white guy is punching very slow and very direct. He isn't trying to hurt or even hit the asian. He is just letting him show off his moves. This is NOTHING like a street fighter. I am sorry to say but a heavier/taller guy than this asian would simply have grab a hold of him. Which would be easy if this monk is trying to do stupid "fancy" moves that are good for demonstrations but pointless in a real fight.
I don't think you know what you are talking about :P martial arts don't become useless when the opponent is big it can like all things be used to the defender's advantage.
@Rukushin Try watching Fearless, the fight between him and the wrestler took place was a real event that took place. Martial arts don't become useless when the guy is bigger, infact it's almost no change at all - most martial arts rely on redirecting the opponents energy
@ThriceDog Pretty sure fearless is a movie where they choreograph EVERY fight DUMBSHIT!!! LOL just when i thought people couldn't get any dumber this guy doesn't know the difference between reality and a Hollywood movie OMFG what a retard lol. And no its not a real event that took place lol i'm sure if jet li slapped the wrestlers mom in real life he wouldnt do so good against the "wrestler".
@Crimescene26 Really? You're going to type like that and call me a retard? Try not having the language skills of a 5 year old, then get back to me.
And having already make it clear you're hilariously fucking stupid; I'm not surprised that you didn't understand what I said. I'm aware it's a film; Touch up on your reading skills and maybe you'd realise I said that the person is REAL, as was the fight that took place between Huo Yuanjia and Hercules O'Brien. Which he won.
this is a perfect example of how years of experience of kung fu can be usefull in a real fight.. most people think only jiujitsu or boxing can beat someone in real life my dad is like this shaolin dude and he used to sport fight all his life and he teach me.. now im a mma fighter because i know jiujitsu boxing and kungfu (my dads) im 21 years old... today my dad is 56 years old and he can beat my ass for real only because he has way more experience only on kung fu than me.. its hard to explain
@Nookiee89 ... At 22 y\o & 116 fit kilo I-walked home after 4 hours training HARD & the 72 y\o ex WW2 commando soldier who raised me thought I'd needed some humility lessons so he said "THINK YOU'RE FIT BOY" (?) & grabbed the 1\2 inch pelmet above the door with his fingertips & touched his toes over his fingers 3 times without strain...
Again without strain he said "DO-THAT" & dismounted like Fred Astaire & it took me a a second to realise he could kick my arse & year to do one... (Hardcore)
Easy.but training is what makes it natural to the person who trained.in fights the movements come naturally. For some one who is starting out would have to train almost like your body memorizing the movements for future reference.other wise you'd have your @ss handed to you.
@Guaxinim26 Evading/dodging is an integral part of any kind of fighting. Boxing is the same way, you gain the advantage when your opponent is most vulnerable - right after missing his attack and his momentum at a stop.
I think part of the dominance of grappling techniques has to do with a lot of bans on potentially fatal striking techniques that would allow a striker to KO/kill a grappler before getting caught. For example diving the legs of a striker is a good way to expose the back of your neck. MMA just doesn't allow someone to drop an elbow on the back of their neck, for good reason.
You guys are experts on Combat survival now? Sure mma is a sport but so is wrestling and I want to see you tangle with a wrestle in a fight. He'll have your bones broken in two. Doesn't matter if all he does is a sport with a ref.
Same applies for mma. Top fighters are nothing to mess with. It's about the individual fighter not their style
@Whyyousuchadumbbutt Wrestling is a great technique in a fight! But you don't necessarily use all the rules basically just simple moves like a sweep single or a double leg also a snake, hip toss, headlock but you have to throw punches as well but if your fighting a trained wrestler don't let him have your back or throw a kick
@lmc100 In a mma/ufc fight the ufc fighter would win easy with a ref stopping it. In a street fight the monk would win easy with a broken limb or worse.
Exactly. Jason Delucia, a Kung Fu expert lost to Royce Gracie. Not once, but twice. He lost to Gracie in UFC 2. A few years before that, he challenged Gracie at the Gracie academy and lost. It's on one of the "Gracie Jiu-Jitsu In Action" DVDs.
there is no way it'll work in a real street fight!! i can do a similar demo with a ping pong ball.ill say when the ball is coming towards me ill move to the side.and smash the shit out of it.but in a real game the ball moves way too fast. nobody can do this.
In response to the ufc comments.

Nookiee89 4 months ago
@Nookiee89 Ah grats for knowing some kung fu :) I like to learn one day, at the moment I just learn by myself on youtube
godgrant123 3 months ago
@Nookiee89 ... At 22 y\o & 116 fit kilo I-walked home after 4 hours training HARD & the 72 y\o ex WW2 commando soldier who raised me thought I'd needed some humility lessons so he said "THINK YOU'RE FIT BOY" (?) & grabbed the 1\2 inch pelmet above the door with his fingertips & touched his toes over his fingers 3 times without strain...
Again without strain he said "DO-THAT" & dismounted like Fred Astaire & it took me a a second to realise he could kick my arse & year to do one... (Hardcore)
spacelizardlaw 3 months ago
Easy.but training is what makes it natural to the person who trained.in fights the movements come naturally. For some one who is starting out would have to train almost like your body memorizing the movements for future reference.other wise you'd have your @ss handed to you.

Monks do/will not fight for money or entertainment, they are actually peaceful people.
Trixter561 4 months ago
So, if I'm ever fighting a monk, or somebody who trained with monks, don't stop mid-way through and wait for him to slap my and flip me over. Got it.
silvermediastudio 4 months ago
The monk evades like a girl. But he still a badass motherfucker.
Guaxinim26 4 months ago
@Guaxinim26 Evading/dodging is an integral part of any kind of fighting. Boxing is the same way, you gain the advantage when your opponent is most vulnerable - right after missing his attack and his momentum at a stop.
SerIsaacNewton 4 months ago
@Guaxinim26 Yea because its more logical to get your ass kicked.

These moves are all premeditated. A real fight against someone who isnt a dumbass, the monk would get knocked the fuck out

@DAN5HY Yep, keep telling that to yourself!
Doeff8 4 months ago
@DAN5HY that its true, but these tiny monks are conditioned to get beat up like smashing their faces with bricks and stuff...

@DAN5HY Some monks can learn to not feel any pain and they can break metal on their heads.

I think part of the dominance of grappling techniques has to do with a lot of bans on potentially fatal striking techniques that would allow a striker to KO/kill a grappler before getting caught. For example diving the legs of a striker is a good way to expose the back of your neck. MMA just doesn't allow someone to drop an elbow on the back of their neck, for good reason.
dualkeybladeroxas 4 months ago
You guys are experts on Combat survival now? Sure mma is a sport but so is wrestling and I want to see you tangle with a wrestle in a fight. He'll have your bones broken in two. Doesn't matter if all he does is a sport with a ref.
Same applies for mma. Top fighters are nothing to mess with. It's about the individual fighter not their style
Whyyousuchadumbbutt 4 months ago
@Whyyousuchadumbbutt Wrestling is a great technique in a fight! But you don't necessarily use all the rules basically just simple moves like a sweep single or a double leg also a snake, hip toss, headlock but you have to throw punches as well but if your fighting a trained wrestler don't let him have your back or throw a kick
Treimexil 4 months ago
in a streetfight, anything goes... there are no rules when your life is at stake...
rickdaslick9 4 months ago
Dirty little shit the monk. Always targeting the nuts or the liver or the knee cap. Or any other painful spot that would split you in two.
P1GEONPOO 4 months ago
@P1GEONPOO So.. a dirty little shit or an effective fighter that could defeat his opponent?
lmc100 4 months ago 3
@lmc100 In a mma/ufc fight the ufc fighter would win easy with a ref stopping it. In a street fight the monk would win easy with a broken limb or worse.
P1GEONPOO 4 months ago
That monk should have his own show. A thousand ways to whoop someones ass.

mma is close to fighting,
but i guarantee you bone jones, silva, gsp will get his ass kicked to death in real combat to death.
bruce lee JKD, show technique to attack throat, groin, eyes, all technique that a small guy can use to a bigger stronger opponent that MMA prohibits.
in MMA you cant even hit the back of the head, in real combat they will smash your head.

jiujitsu is originally from japan but the brazilian just stole it and called it BJ.
Since average weight and height of asian are smaller, large asian (not average)are slow compared to average size (big) brazilian or american.
but if average against average, asian will beat brazilian and blacks anytime.
The great Anderson Silva lost 4 times to asians and never to white boys.
Gracie just stole it from asians.
BTW, japan learned it from china check it at the website
